New to Grow
I am a licensed therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals facing chronic mental illness, anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, and a range of addictions—including substance use, alcohol misuse, and concerns related to sex addiction. I utilize a person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approach, providing a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients can gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward the life they desire. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups, and I am committed to culturally informed and strengths-based care.
In your first session, you can expect a collaborative and grounded conversation focused on understanding your concerns, your goals, and what brings you into therapy at this time. I will ask questions about your current challenges, your history, and your priorities so that we can develop a meaningful direction for treatment. The space will be supportive, respectful, and paced according to your comfort. My goal in the first session is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and clear on how we will work together.
What stands out about my approach is my blend of person-centered care, cultural awareness, and a strong emphasis on connection and collaboration. I draw from a variety of evidence-informed therapeutic practices to help clients build insight, strengthen emotional awareness, and make practical, sustainable changes in their lives. I offer psychoeducation to deepen understanding, incorporate strategies that interrupt unhelpful patterns, and use motivational and strength-based techniques to support long-term growth. Clients often share that they appreciate my direct yet compassionate style, the clarity of the tools we use, and the sense of safety and accountability that helps them move toward meaningful change.
I am best positioned to serve adolescents and adults navigating emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, addictive behaviors, and significant life transitions, including academic or career-related changes. I work effectively with clients who are seeking to understand their patterns, reduce distress, and regain a sense of control in their lives. I also support individuals experiencing stress related to personal achievement, identity development, family dynamics, or the desire to change long-standing habits that no longer serve them. Whether someone is new to therapy or returning after previous treatment, I meet each client exactly where they are and build a supportive path forward.
My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented. I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, career challenges, life transitions, and co-occurring disorders. In practice, I integrate interventions such as behavioral activation, structured problem-solving, exposure-based techniques (when clinically appropriate), and individualized action plans. These strategies empower clients to build resilience, make meaningful changes, and move toward their personal goals with greater clarity and confidence.
