About me

I am a passionate therapist who believes that healing begins in a space of safety, compassion, and genuine connection. My work is grounded in the understanding that we are all fellow travelers on life’s journey — each carrying our own stories, struggles, and strengths. It is my honor to walk alongside those seeking growth, healing, and a deeper sense of self-understanding. With both personal and professional experience in the mental health realm, I bring not only clinical knowledge but also heartfelt empathy and presence to each session. I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are met exactly where they are, without judgment or expectation. Together, we explore patterns, nurture self-compassion, and uncover the inner wisdom that supports authentic change. My approach is integrative and humanistic, drawing from person-centered therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. These modalities allow me to tailor the therapeutic experience to each individual’s unique needs — blending evidence-based techniques with deep respect for the whole person.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a gentle beginning — a space to get to know each other and start building a foundation of trust. We’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and what goals you’d like to move toward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; we move at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll also share a bit about my approach and how I integrate person-centered therapy, EMDR, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based practices to support your healing journey. Together, we’ll discuss what feels most comfortable for you and begin shaping a plan that fits your needs and personality. Many clients describe the first session as a relief — a chance to finally exhale, be heard, and begin to make sense of what’s been weighing on them. My goal is for you to leave feeling safe, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Therapy can feel intimidating, and choosing the right therapist is a deeply personal decision. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard from the very first session. I combine professional expertise with genuine compassion, meeting you exactly where you are on your journey. With experience supporting trauma survivors, veterans, individuals navigating addiction, and those managing anxiety and depression, I bring a wealth of knowledge and empathy to each session. I integrate person-centered therapy, EMDR, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based practices, tailoring my approach to fit your unique needs, personality, and goals. I am dedicated to helping you transform emotional suffering into healing, balance, and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, we will explore what matters most to you, uncover your inner strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. When you work with me, you’re not just receiving therapy — you’re embarking on a collaborative journey toward growth, resilience, and self-discovery.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to take meaningful steps toward healing and growth — someone who may feel weighed down by trauma, addiction, anxiety, or depression, but still carries a quiet hope that life can feel different. You might be tired of old patterns, searching for peace, or simply longing to feel more balanced and connected to yourself again. I especially enjoy working with trauma survivors, veterans, and individuals navigating the challenges of addiction, anxiety, and depression. Together, we explore what it means to move from emotional suffering toward healing, self-compassion, and purpose. You don’t have to have it all figured out — just a willingness to begin. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rediscover your inner strength, create new patterns of emotional balance, and transform pain into a deeper sense of peace and authenticity.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In order to cultivate a safe place for my clients to heal and grow, I utilize a person-centered approach to foster the development of the therapeutic alliance. It is important for me to ensure my clients feel seen and heard. Over the past three years, I have used this approach while facilitating group therapy and while providing individual therapy.

EMDR

Trauma impacts clients' ability to live fully, keeping clients stuck in survival mode. I utilize EMDR therapy to help clients work through past trauma, increase their adaptive processing ability, and aim to develop their coping skills. I use this specific therapy to address PTSD and attachment-related wounds.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Negative thoughts if left unchecked can impact emotions and behaviors, which can reduce clients' quality of life. Using a CBT framework, I help clients pinpoint how their negative core beliefs keep them stuck in a negative feedback loop.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In this fast-past world, anxiety is increasing in individuals. It can be challenging to navigate symptoms of anxiety and life. With mindfulness-based therapy, I support clients in learning skills to reduce anxiety in the mind and tension in the body so that they can live in the present moment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help client's accept their emotions while making decisions that align with values as they navigate life's challenges.
