From an early age, I felt a strong calling to help others and found deep fulfillment in making a positive difference in people’s lives. Raised in an immigrant family with limited resources, I joined the military as a way to pursue my education and create new opportunities for myself.
During my time in the military, I relocated frequently and had the privilege of connecting with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and belief systems. These experiences shaped my understanding of how our differences enrich us, while also recognizing how they can create internal struggles, relational challenges, and emotional stress.
This perspective led me to pursue a career in social work. Today, I am committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care and supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change—one person at a time.
It is so hard to try to tell your life story to a stranger, but just know I'm here to help you find the strength you thought you lost but is just hiding deep in you. We will work together to help you achieve your goals.

Hi, I am Sherry, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, and have been a counselor since 2007. I approach mental wellness as a spectrum of being that will regularly ebb and flow for all people. We all have "good" days and "not so good" days; we all need someone to talk to and to listen to us when days are harder, and we all need a compassionate voice to tell us that we can work through this. Menatl health work is manageable when it is education and information based, which helps us to make our problems seem more manageable. I like to help my clients feel comfortable about talking through their thoughts and obstacles, and finding real, simple solutions to problems. I have worked with people of all ages; my youngest client was 3 years old, and my oldest client was 84; I am proud to say that I can adjust to meet clients' needs. This is due to my ability to listen and to collaborate actively with clients to help them have a say in their care and healing.

If you recently lost coverage or had an insurance change, I currently have openings and can discuss options. My mission is to empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, clarity, and confidence. I take a holistic, client-centered approach rooted in the biopsychosocial model—addressing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and environment to support lasting well-being. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of the person in front of me.
I am also actively pursuing certification in Mind-Body Medicine through the Center for Mind Body Medicine and frequently integrate these techniques—such as meditation, guided imagery, and breathwork—into sessions to support emotional balance and self-regulation. With extensive training in geriatric assessment, I have a deep passion for working with older adults, helping them maintain cognitive and emotional vitality in later life. As a certified clinical supervisor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, I am also committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of compassionate, skilled social workers.
Above all, I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Certified Grief-Informed Professional (CGIP), I bring specialized training to our work together. Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.
My name is Rehana Saleem, and I'm a licensed therapist from Florida. You can look at my profile to learn more about my background and approach. My counseling style is pretty laid-back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them to overcome obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the difficult things right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. You have taken the first and most important step by seeking help.
I’m a licensed therapist in both South Carolina and Florida with years of experience working across inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment, detox, and outpatient settings. I’m passionate about helping clients understand what they’re experiencing, gain clarity around their challenges, and develop practical tools that create meaningful, lasting change.
Therapy should be more than simply talking about the same problems week after week. My goal is for you to get the most out of your time in therapy, to leave sessions with greater insight, useful strategies, and a clearer sense of what you can do differently. I work collaboratively with clients who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, ambivalent, or unsure of where to begin, helping turn uncertainty into direction and progress.
My approach is grounded in a “scaffolding” philosophy. Early in therapy, you may need more support and guidance, much like training wheels. As we work together, the goal is to build your confidence, problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate challenges independently. I’m not here to make you dependent on therapy; I want to help you become more equipped to handle life beyond the therapy room.
Change can be uncomfortable, but it doesn’t have to feel impossible. I bring a confident, compassionate, and solution-focused approach to therapy while creating space for honesty, growth, and even some humor along the way. Whether you’re looking for clarity, coping skills, healthier relationships, or simply a better understanding of yourself, I’m here to help you make meaningful progress.
Hi, thank you for checking my profile. Have you been feeling like your life is out of control, struggling with your career, personal life and social life? Do you feel no one understands you? As a therapist, my goal is to help you walk through the difficult situations you are experiencing and help you gain the necessary strengths to achieve the change that you are looking for. This might sound easy, but this can be a challenging path to your healing. This journey is different for everyone, so my approach will be unique to your needs, learning style, and comfort level. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children. I have experience working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and interpersonal conflicts. I know how difficult it is to find a good and knowledgeable therapist. . I graduated from Nova Southeastern University. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
One of my favorite life mantras is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Thus, I enjoy helping others embrace their power. One of the most impactful ways to do that is a change in thought process. It has such a significant influence on the way we react and the type of emotions we feel.
At times, facing life's challenges can be difficult. Fortunately, you do not have to do it alone. I'll walk on the journey with you, offering a safe environment we co-create that encourages exploration and growth. If you'd like to know if I'd be a good fit on your personal journey, please feel invited to reach out!

As a mental health professional for over twenty-five years, I am dedicated to helping clients explore options and strategies so that they may live a healthier and happier life. I provide compassionate care and counseling to individuals in Illinois, Missouri and Florida via Telehealth. I possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Addictions. I also have completed a Master of Business Administration Degree focused on Healthcare Management. I am a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, camping and traveling.
I have extensive experience in Leadership and Direct Care positions within Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Recovery and Rehabilitation facilities. As a result of those experiences, I witnessed and truly believe mental health and addiction recovery is possible. As we each experience our life’s journey, the good, bad, and ugly, we continue to learn and grow along the way. Many journeys will include troubled times resulting in anxiety, mood disorders, grief, loss, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, addictions and other challenges along the way. But most will also include exciting and positive times such as graduations, college, marriage, career advancements, births, relocations, new homes, new friends, and many more. Although positive, adjustment to these experiences may also result in a need for support during the transition.
As a Social Worker, my approach will focus on the whole individual to identify other factors contributing to the current problem. This will include past and current relationships, health issues, work, living and social environments.
My goal is to help clients find hope, joy and peace. They will achieve this by learning to view problems differently and using healthy coping skills to make changes and adjust to a new normal.
I believe that therapy is a partnership between the client and therapist and utilize client centered goals, coupled with evidenced based approaches to provide a holistic and dynamic approach for achieving overall well-being.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with trauma and abuse, as well as adjustment issues. I also work with families to increase effective parenting and communication. As a former military spouse, I am well versed in the complexities of military life and transitions and the hardships these present within the family unit.
I look forward to working with you. I'm proud to offer a safe and supportive atmosphere via video chat/phone sessions which can be completed within the comfort of your home or on the go!
