I know what it’s like to feel trapped by emotional pain. After losing my mom in 2005 I embarked on a journey through grief that made me the person I am today. The grief will stay with me forever, but I now have life lessons that I’ve learned because of it. I am here to help you. It’s often hard to admit that you are struggling and even harder to ask for help. You will never “get over” the person you lost, but you will find a way to work through the pain and eventually it will fade and become more manageable. I’m living proof of that.
I’ve been a licensed mental health counselor for more than 15 years, and I’ve spent my career helping my clients work through grief, cope with postpartum depression and anxiety, and find coping skills that work to decrease stress and anxiety. You don’t have to feel this way anymore. I can help when you feel like you are drowning in pain, and together we will navigate the journey to happiness.
I look forward to helping you heal!

You may be the person everyone else depends on. You're capable, responsible, and high-functioning. From the outside, it may seem like you're managing everything well—but internally, you're overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, constantly overthinking, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it "should."
Many of my clients are women who have spent years taking care of everyone else while slowly losing connection with themselves. They may be balancing demanding careers, motherhood, caregiving, relationships, or major life transitions while quietly carrying anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or self-doubt.
I specialize in helping women navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, depression, and chronic overwhelm. I also enjoy working with individuals adjusting to chronic illness, caregiver stress, and significant changes that affect their sense of identity.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe lasting change happens when we understand not only what we're experiencing, but why certain patterns developed in the first place. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, develop insight into those patterns, and build realistic strategies that help you create meaningful change outside of therapy—not just during our sessions.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you're used to being the one others rely on. My goal is to provide a space where you don't have to have everything figured out—a place where you can feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and supported as you reconnect with yourself and build the life you truly want.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), EMDR trained and trauma certified, specializing in addiction, anxiety, and depression, including clients currently in treatment programs. My practice is built on a person-centered approach — real dialogue, not lectures, and space for you to heal at your own pace. Together, we'll build practical tools tailored to you, while addressing what's underneath the struggle. My goal is to help you heal, repair, and grow into lasting independence and self-trust.
Hi, I’m Anakarla.
If you’ve been feeling anxious, stuck, hard on yourself, or unsure of who you’re becoming, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to sort it out by yourself. Many of the people I work with are used to “holding it together” on the outside, while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or questioning their direction on the inside.
I’m a Latina therapist who believes therapy should feel warm, supportive, and rooted in real connection, not clinical or distant. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, which means we move at your pace and work together as a team. I see you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you make sense of your experiences, gently challenge what’s not serving you, and support you in building a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
Our work together is a mix of reflection and action. We’ll explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, while also building practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I often incorporate approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, but in a way that feels natural, not overwhelming or overly technical. Think of it as creating a toolkit that helps you not just cope, but feel more grounded, confident, and intentional in how you live.
I also believe healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. When it feels right, I bring in humor and lightness to help you feel more at ease and human in the process.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping adults find balance and meaning during life’s more challenging seasons. Many of the people I work with are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship stress, or transitions that have left them feeling disconnected from themselves or uncertain about what comes next. One of my favorite life mantras is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Thus, I enjoy helping others embrace their power. One of the most impactful ways to do that is a change in thought process. It has such a significant influence on the way we react and the type of emotions we feel.
At times, facing life's challenges can be difficult. Fortunately, you do not have to do it alone. I'll walk on the journey with you, offering a safe environment we co-create that encourages exploration and growth.
