I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of experience. I completed my master’s in counseling psychology at Trinity International University, South Florida Campus, in 2008. Graduating from Trinity International University has allowed me excellent opportunities to profoundly integrate my faith into the practice, primarily for clients of Christian backgrounds. My counseling experiences include residential, outpatient, and online settings for clients suffering from various mental and social health issues. Being in the counseling field as a licensed mental health therapist over the past several years has equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to optimize the best care for all my clients. Experience: Domestic Violence, Trauma, Grief, Anger Management, Self-esteem, Coping with life changes, Abandonment Issues, Homelessness, Chronic Medical Condition, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and balancing life through faith in Jesus Christ.
I believe in creating a safe place for clients where they feel free to express life struggles, primarily regarding mental, emotional, and social health issues. In therapy, clients are provided with excellent opportunities to explore different coping mechanisms to better themselves. I work collaboratively with clients on treatment plans that best meet their needs.
My clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Rational-Emotive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Christian Counseling.
Some of my biggest strengths are my ability to connect with clients and work collaboratively with clients so that they successfully achieve positive outcomes toward their goals for therapy. Also, I have found tremendous joy in working with clients undergoing life changes and equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to help overcome life struggles.
