Taking the first step toward therapy is an investment in your well-being, and choosing the right therapist is an important part of that process. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring life's challenges. I believe that healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized, recognizing that every person brings a unique story, set of experiences, and goals. Together, we'll identify obstacles that may be keeping you stuck, build on your existing strengths, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with greater confidence and resilience. Throughout my career, I have served as a Clinical Supervisor and spent 18 years as a Senior Dialysis Case Manager, helping individuals and families navigate complex medical, emotional, and life transitions. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the connection between physical and emotional well-being while strengthening my ability to provide thoughtful guidance during times of uncertainty. I utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and other integrative modalities. Do you feel stuck, trapped, or like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t move forward? Do you find yourself constantly on edge, overthinking everything, avoiding things you want to do, or wondering why certain experiences still affect you today? Maybe you’ve spent years trying to hold everything together, push your emotions aside, and simply survive, but you’re ready for something to change. I work with individuals just like you who are strong, caring, self-aware, and resilient, but exhausted from always having to hold it together. You may understand that your past has shaped you, yet still struggle to understand why you react the way you do, why you keep finding yourself in the same patterns, or why it’s so difficult to trust yourself and feel at peace. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the anxiety, depression, self-doubt, unresolved traumas and emotional overwhelm, helping you make sense of your experiences and develop ways to feel calmer, more grounded, and more in control of your life. My approach is collaborative and personal, creating a space where you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. We’ll work together on setting boundaries without guilt, building self-trust and confidence, understanding your needs, and learning to make choices that reflect what you truly want rather than what fear tells you to do. Whether you’re struggling with your relationships, feeling disconnected from yourself, or trying to move forward from painful experiences, we’ll create a path that supports meaningful change at your own pace. This goes beyond just “surviving” your emotions. It’s about feeling safe within yourself, reconnecting with who you are, and building a life where you no longer feel defined or held back by what you’ve been through. You deserve the opportunity to feel more like yourself again.

Hello, I'm Rose-Marie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Life can be stressful at times and it can be hard to cope with the everyday changes and curve balls thrown at you. Sometimes we don't think about the importance of our mental health. We struggle with adjusting to the changes life sends our way and may end up becoming anxious or depressed. In today's busy world we find ourselves playing multiple roles that require a lot of our time. We may even find it hard to communicate our feelings, emotions, wants and needs in our various relationships. As a result we may neglect to take care of ourselves or may focus more on one of our roles while neglecting the others. As a working mother of two, I totally get this and I am passionate about helping other parents navigate these demands. I can help you explore and find ways to cope. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help address the thoughts that led to depression and increased persistent anxiety. I also use Solution Focused Therapy to look at what worked and how to do more of it. The great thing is that you took the first step by seeking a therapist. This can be scary, but I believe in creating an open and safe environment for you to share issues and feelings without feeling judged. I work with you at a pace you feel comfortable with while building the therapeutic relationship.

Being the one who holds everything together can be exhausting, especially when your own needs go unnoticed. Perhaps you hold yourself to impossible standards, constantly questioning whether you've done enough. Maybe you're easily irritated, quick to anger, or carrying resentment you don't fully understand. You might avoid conflict, struggle to say no, or feel responsible for keeping everyone else happy. Or perhaps your struggles are quieter, showing up as harsh self-criticism, shame, or a persistent feeling that you're somehow not good enough. My practice focuses on supporting women navigating these experiences and the emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, and disconnection from self that may accompany them. Sometimes, understanding how we feel today involves exploring the experiences and relationships that have shaped us. Difficult childhood experiences, emotional neglect, abuse, painful relationships, and ongoing stress can influence how we view ourselves, manage emotions, and connect with others. Through a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach, we can explore the patterns that may be contributing to your struggles while developing healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Together, we can work toward strengthening emotional awareness, establishing boundaries, building self-trust, and cultivating a more compassionate relationship with yourself. You deserve more than simply getting through each day. Therapy can be a space to begin moving beyond survival toward a life where you feel more grounded, connected, and able to thrive.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth Guinea, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 19 years of experience working with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Over the years, I've worked with people from many different worlds, facing different expectations and pressures. Beneath those differences, familiar patterns often emerge: beliefs, habits, and ways of relating that once served a purpose but now keeps you repeating the same problem, and situations. I focus on changing the pattern underneath the symptoms. One of my strengths is recognizing those patterns quickly and helping you do something about them. Together, we'll connect insight with practical changes that fit your life. My goal is simple: for you to leave each session better than when you walked in -with greater clarity, a useful skill, or a concrete next step. I offer in-person sessions in Tampa and online therapy throughout Florida.

Feeling anxious, stuck, or far from yourself and the people you love? You don't have to figure it out alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps women, couples, and older adults work through anxiety, depression, women's issues, and the big life transitions that shake everything loose. Divorce, a career change, an empty nest, a move: change can leave you feeling like you've lost your footing. Through my clinical work, I've sat with people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. I've also rebuilt my own life after moving from New York to Florida, so I know what it takes to stay steady when everything changes. I use evidence-based approaches and work with you collaboratively, shaping every session around your life and your goals. I also offer a gentle, paced approach to past and present trauma, so you never have to go faster than feels right. Together, we'll build strategies that truly fit you, so the change you make is real and it lasts. Wherever you are right now, healing is possible. Let's help you find your footing, rise with confidence, and build a life that feels like yours again, with someone fully in your corner.

Hello! I’m a Florida-based Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, and groups across outpatient, inpatient, residential, and school-based settings. These experiences have taught me that no two people or stories are alike. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself as you navigate stress, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I see therapy as a partnership built on trust, genuine connection, and empathy. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach to tailor the experience to your unique needs, while meeting you where you are and working together to understand what matters most to you.

I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, understood, and accepted. Whether you are navigating emotional challenges, relationship or family conflict, questions surrounding gender identity or sexuality, attachment and codependency concerns, or the effects of trauma, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. As a therapist, I bring compassion, curiosity, authenticity, and an affirming approach to the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy should be collaborative and individualized, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone. I strive to meet you where you are, help you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and empower you with tools to navigate emotions, establish healthy boundaries, and build more fulfilling relationships. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and diverse relationship structures navigating unhealthy or abusive relationship dynamics, attachment wounds, codependency, and unresolved trauma. I am particularly passionate about helping clients break unhealthy patterns, rebuild self-confidence, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also provide sex-positive, affirming care to sexually and relationally diverse populations, including polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, as well as individuals and relationships involved in kink, BDSM, and consensual power exchange (CPE). My therapy space welcomes individuals, relationships, and families of all backgrounds, identities, sexual orientations, races, and cultures. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. My hope is to help you heal from past hurts, navigate present challenges, reconnect with your strengths, and create a life that feels authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Florida. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Self Esteem, is filtering therapists in Florida that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
