I received my graduate clinical degree, M.S. in family therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2014 and previous to this I received my undergraduate degree, B.S. in sociology with minors in psychology and child development in 2011 from Florida State University. I have been in the mental health field since 2012. I received her Masters degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I have worked with adults, adolescents, children, and their families in both the Miami-Dade and Broward County School settings as well as adults and adolescents throughout the state of Florida in home, clinic and telehealth settings. I am passionate about a healthy family system being at the utmost importance to allow an individual to live a fulfilled and well balanced lifestyle. My psychotherapy educational background, along with my concentration in both CBT and Solutions-Focused therapies assist me in my systemic approach to treatment both in the individual's heart and his or her mind as well as all of the physical environments the individual takes part in daily (work, school, home, social).
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My specialities include, but are not limited to: marital relationships, family conflict, parenting stressors, anxiety, depression, difficulty focusing, work stress, peer relationships, coping skills, trauma, grief, autism, codependency, self-esteem and stress. My methodologies include CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Strength Based Therapy.
I have a lot of experience working with adults in their 20's, 30's 40's and 50's. I also have a lot of experience working with children, teens and adolescents. Clients who have families and are mom and dads. Clients who are in college and transitioning into adulthood.
