I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy when appropriate. EMDR can be a powerful tool for healing PTSD and does not require ongoing therapy outside of EMDR sessions unless desired. Hi, my name is Heather and I'm looking forward to working with you. I've worked in social services for 15 years; and as a therapist for the past 5 years. I've worked across the age spectrum including with special populations: addictions, disabilities, and chronic illness; and in focus areas including anger, ADHD, school, self-esteem, grief and loss. I've also worked with parents and launders including career success and life-transition.

Starting therapy can be a difficult process. I make this process as easy for you as possible. Therapy starts with us getting to know each other and for me to understand your needs for treatment. I want to make sure that I can meet your requirements and help you work on what you came into treatment for or find you someone who can. As a therapist, I help you become the best version of yourself. My job is to give you the skills to manage difficulties when they occur. Situations occur that you may not feel equipped to handle. I earned my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Since 2006, I have held a Mental Health Counseling License for the State of Florida. In addition to my clinical work, I have had the privilege of serving as a Clinical Supervisor, providing guidance and support to mental health programs, interns, volunteers, and administrative staff. With over 30 years of experience in the field, I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their journey towards improved mental well-being. Being fluent in both English and Spanish allows me to effectively connect with clients from diverse communities and cultures.
