I want to start by connecting with you in a safe space. I believe growth comes from the courage to face its truth and challenging circumstances in a safe and supportive environment. My role as a therapist is to respect your life experiences and explore the support you need for individual internal growth. My therapy approach provides unique ways to identify what changes you want to embrace and assist you in tapping into your inner strength. My intrinsic style is a genuine humanistic approach, and I encourage clients to take advantage of their ideas through individual reorientation. I want my client to visualize that their therapist has a big flashlight so they can navigate their potential to have a more balanced approach in their everyday life.
I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for them and build rapport by getting to know them. It is important to me to understand their reasons for seeking therapy and their goals and learn about their background information about themselves. My focus is to explain the therapy process and establish a therapeutic relationship in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
I humbly answer this question and have learned my biggest strengths from my prior and existing clients. I take my clients seriously and have the ability to build rapport through empathy and compassion. I do not see my sessions as another hour, but each session is a therapeutic human connection in that we are showing up with respect. I do not believe a treatment plan is a one-size-fits-all, but how to incorporate the client and the techniques. My niche is working with women's issues and family conflicts. My strength is showing up in each session 100%, identifying each client, and allowing them to feel safe to open up to self-awareness and not judge themselves for being human.
Adults, Women, and Spanish-speaking clients. As a clinician, my purpose is to create a safe place where my clients can connect to their emotions and experience the process of self-awareness. I like working with clients who come from diverse backgrounds, and I assist them in tapping into their personal growth, coping strategies, or resolving past experiences.
As a therapist, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients restructure negative thought patterns and modify behaviors. I also utilize mindfulness techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness and reduce reactivity to distressing experiences. My approach is grounded in a person-centered philosophy, emphasizing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. I aim to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and ultimately, empower themselves to lead more fulfilling lives, particularly when addressing anxiety and depression. I prioritize helping clients understand their own internal processing and empower them to make the changes they deem necessary.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy: I utilize mindfulness techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce reactivity to distressing experiences, and enhance emotional regulation.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): I also utilize ACT which helps clients to accept what is out of their control, and commit to actions that enrich their lives.
