Winter Garden, FL - Accepting clients in FL

Hi, I am a licensed mental health counselor who focuses on identity transformation! I work with those who feel the achievements are there, yet still feels misaligned in what you do versus who you truly are. This identity crisis shows up in subtle ways - the anxiety that greets you before meetings, the exhaustion from maintaining the "strong Black woman" image, the longing for relationships where you can finally be real. I want you to know that transformation is possible. That having more alignment and authenticity in the way you show up is possible. In our work together, we'll move beyond just understanding why you code-switch or people-please and help your system find its way back to your truth using Internal Family Systems therapy. Imagine walking into any room fully grounded in who you are. Picture making decisions from your core self, not from old wounds. It's time to transform your relationship with yourself - to heal those outdated identities and create a life that truly feels like yours.

Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Michael Creech, a licensed therapist. My goal is to meet you where you are by bringing a compassionate approach backed by formal training and experience and be a part of your goals in the change process. I am very personable as well as professional and I do not believe in one-sided relationships. I have a multidisciplinary, eclectic approach to therapy in which I utilize techniques and principles from a variety of modalities to include Christian based. My counseling is geared toward treating the whole person from a biopsychosocial spiritual standpoint. I view counseling as a calling and not as a career and that it is a collaborative effort in which I learn and grow as a result of every interaction. My clients describe me as a “good listener” and as someone who “makes me think”. Some of the experiences that have contributed to my professional identity and approach to mental health treatment are my formal education at Pensacola Christian College where I received a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Liberty University where I received a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked as a therapist under regulatory agencies for 6 years and have worked in Christian Ministry since my ministerial ordination in 2003. Demographics I have served have included inpatient and outpatient care, private practice, substance abuse issues, psychotic spectrum disorders, gender identity issues, personality disorders, sex addiction, family and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Spirituality, and men’s issues. My experiences as a combat military veteran, teacher, father, husband, and a person who has experienced my own traumas and failures have contributed to my professional development. I look forward to getting to know you!

Hi I’m Lisa. I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in trauma. You may think you do not have trauma, but I have experience with working with all levels of trauma. From unthinkable, terrible things that may have occurred in your life or in somebody’s life that you care about to smaller traumas such as divorce, your parent’s divorce, unhealthy relationship patterns, the loss of a job, of a pet. Do you feel stuck? I specialize in cognitive behavioral approaches that help us examine unhealthy belief systems, thought processes and behaviors that keep us stuck. I teach my clients cognitive techniques that can be used daily to shift those unhealthy patterns that have kept you stuck, allowing you to make small changes that can ripple into bigger changes, setting you free to live your best life possible. I have made these changes in my own life and I would be honored to help you do the same.

It is time to invest yourself! The first step to changing our circumstances is acknowledging something isn’t working. The process of change takes courage. My approach in counseling is to create an encouraging environment which my clients can find the strength to make those first steps into the unknown. I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a bachelors degree in science of psychology and a minor in communication. I then went on to receive a Masters degree in counseling from Webster University. After my education I went on to gain clinical experience in many different areas over the next 18 years including, but not limited to inpatient psychiatric facilities, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, group therapy, marriage and family counseling, individual counseling, and substance abuse counseling. Licensed in the state of FLorida (MH10911) as a mental health counselor, I aim to provide quality care. I specialize in couples counseling, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, mens issues, family therapy, job stress, interpersonal issues, child therapy, and most other conditions. I look forward to assisting you on you journey to wellness! Below is a link to my book, "8 solutions for wining the war of you vs you" https://a.co/d/2hOjUOt

I work with all ages especially teens and adults in areas such as anger management, anxiety, low self-esteem, school and peer issues, communication, ADHD and more. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and person centered therapy to assist clients with better functioning in their everyday lives. I listen to my clients and their needs to gain an understanding of their perspectives and presenting issues. The way I tailor sessions depends on the particular client, issues, and needs. Different clients require different methods. I am open, honest, empathetic and non-judgmental, but also tell it like it is.

Life does not always go according to plan and it sure can be messy sometimes. It is nice when you can be expressive and heard as you share your messiness. My name is Trish, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I am here to support you and encourage you through the 'messy'. I have been in the field for over 25 years guiding, supporting, and cheering on clients, couples, and families as they make way for change. My background is serving pediatrics to geriatrics. I have a passion for working with healthcare workers, Veterans of all ages, as well as first responders, and active military. As a mother of 5 children, I have both professional and personal knowledge of child development, family systems, and the complexity of family dynamics. I have an extensive background in grief work. Keeping in mind, grief is not just a death loss but any significant change in life that was unexpected, unplanned or did not go according to plans. My interactive, supportive style of therapy is built into creating a plan of care with solution-focused goals in a short-term treatment therapy formula to assist in making changes and improvements. Life gets messy that is for sure. However, when we have the necessary tools and support during those times, we are better equipped to embrace the big events and things don't feel or look as messy.

NEW PRT RCHY, FL - Accepting clients in FL

Client’s often say, “You wouldn’t understand” to therapists, and although I am fully aware that no one can FULLY understand another person’s story, I believe something that makes me unique as a therapist is that I am very familiar with struggle. I come from a large family, of which I am the eldest, and I took on a nurturing role very naturally and very young. I made my fair share of mistakes and landed myself in places I never thought I’d be, including domestic violence. As a result, I fought hard for my degrees, and my journey to licensure took longer than I wanted. However, today I am grateful, because I have learned a lot through my experiences. I have learned how to take pride in my entrepreneurship as a black woman, how to be a strong single mother, and ultimately, how to thrive under pressure. I have worked with a variety of populations, and I find that I am very interested in helping to provide the guidance I was lacking in my younger years. I am loyal, and I am a fighter. I want to help you fight your down darkness, and begin to let the light seep through. My specialties are working with teens and young women with trauma backgrounds. I find that I am able to get on the same level as a teen, help them feel understood, and bridge the gap between them and their parents. I am also very passionate about helping women heal through trauma, particularly domestic violence. Many people cannot comprehend that torment, and that makes healing even more difficult. I try to provide relief for my clients, and I stay genuine to who I am as a human being, which makes me relatable and nonthreatening. If this sounds like a good fit, please feel free to reach out!
