The therapeutic process is hard to explain and better to be experienced. As we feel known, cared for and understood by not only another but with time, ourselves, it’s a special kind of magic that can bring about deep healing and shifts.

I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, currently finishing my Doctorate in Psychology, and I also have a background in psychological evaluations, but what matters more day to day is that I show up curious, warm, and genuinely in your corner, not just taking notes.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, but will tailor my approach to meet your needs. I use lots of strange analogies, but they seem to help trigger new insights for people and help them to change unhelpful perspectives that they may have been holding on to for years. You will be afforded empathy and respect while we do this work. I challenge people with healthy confrontation if needed, but am also not afraid to use humor as little laughter can go a long way too.
I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).
