My Name is Monea Pipkin a Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Qualified Supervisor, I am passionate about supporting adolescents and adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered throughout their healing journey. I specialize in trauma-focused care and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) interventions to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work collaboratively to explore emotional experiences, identify healthy coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build the tools needed to manage everyday stressors with greater confidence and resilience. My goal is to help clients feel supported while fostering personal growth, healing, and meaningful change in a safe and compassionate space.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you will have the opportunity to share your concerns, personal experiences, and goals for therapy at your own pace. The initial session is designed to help build comfort, establish trust, and gain a better understanding of the challenges you may be facing related to depression, anxiety, trauma, or other life stressors. Using a collaborative and trauma-informed approach, we will discuss your current symptoms, emotional experiences, coping patterns, and areas where you would like additional support. You will also learn more about the therapeutic process, including how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT interventions may be utilized to help explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and stressors while developing healthy coping strategies. The first session is also an opportunity to ask questions, discuss expectations for treatment, and begin creating goals that support your personal growth, emotional wellness, and healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe in listening with compassion and without judgment while guiding clients through life’s challenges at a pace that feels comfortable for them. I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, collaboration, and empathy. What makes my approach unique is my ability to balance support with practical guidance. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain insight into their emotions, identify healthy coping strategies, and build the confidence needed to navigate stressors and personal growth. By integrating trauma-focused care with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and TF-CBT, I tailor treatment to each client’s individual needs while fostering resilience, emotional wellness, and lasting change.
