I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and PsyD Candidate in Clinical Psychology specializing in trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and complex relational difficulties. My clinical approach is integrative, combining evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, CPT, and psychodynamic principles to help clients better understand not only their symptoms, but the deeper patterns shaping their emotional experiences. My practice is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and meaningful therapeutic connection. I work with adults navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and identity-related challenges, with a strong focus on helping individuals build insight, emotional regulation, resilience, and a greater sense of purpose. I believe healing happens when people feel seen beyond their symptoms and supported in making lasting, meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is a space to slow down, feel heard, and begin making sense of what brings you to therapy. The first session is centered on understanding you—who you are, the experiences that have shaped you, and the challenges that feel most distressing in your life right now. Together, we create a space for self-understanding, exploration, and clarity. We will talk about your current concerns, personal history, emotional patterns, relationships, and the difficulties you may be facing, while also identifying your strengths, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, with the intention of understanding not just symptoms, but the deeper meaning and context behind them. Most importantly, the first session is about building trust and creating a safe foundation for the work ahead, so we can begin developing a path toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach unique is that I look beyond symptoms and focus on the deeper organization of a person’s emotional experience, relationships, and patterns of coping. While symptom relief is important, I believe lasting change happens when we understand the underlying meaning of distress and how it connects to your life story, personality, and current challenges. My work integrates evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, trauma-focused interventions, and psychodynamic understanding, allowing me to tailor treatment to each individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing—creating a space that is safe, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I also bring a trauma-sensitive and responsive treatment approach, culturally sensitive, and person-centered lens to my practice, helping clients not only reduce suffering but build insight, resilience, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of self. My goal is to help you move beyond surviving and toward living with greater clarity, purpose, and connection.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, relational difficulties, and patterns that feel difficult to understand or change. Many of the clients I work with are seeking more than symptom relief—they want to better understand themselves, their emotional responses, their relationships, and the deeper meaning behind their distress. I work well with clients who are ready to engage in a thoughtful, collaborative process of healing and self-discovery. Whether you are feeling stuck, disconnected, burdened by past experiences, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can become a space to develop insight, emotional regulation, resilience, and a clearer sense of direction.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a practical and evidence-based approach to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In therapy, we work together to recognize patterns of thinking that may be contributing to distress, such as self-criticism, fear, avoidance, or hopelessness, and develop healthier, more adaptive ways of responding. My use of CBT is collaborative and personalized. I often integrate it with trauma-informed and insight-oriented work, which means we not only focus on changing unhelpful patterns in the present, but also explore how past experiences may have shaped those patterns. This allows clients to build greater awareness, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills while creating meaningful and lasting change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences rather than struggling against them. ACT focuses on increasing psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present, make room for discomfort, and take meaningful action aligned with your values, even in the presence of pain or uncertainty. In my practice, ACT helps clients move away from patterns of avoidance, emotional fusion, and self-limiting beliefs by building mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based living. I often integrate ACT with trauma-informed and insight-oriented approaches, allowing clients to not only understand their suffering more deeply, but also reconnect with purpose, resilience, and a more authentic way of living.
