Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker in FL, AL, TN, and SC. I received my MSW degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Miami, FL. and I have over 40 years of practice experience. I have extensive experience in community and emergency mental health, crisis intervention. I was in private practice for 21 years serving individuals, couples, families, community agencies and municipalities. While in private practice I also became a life coach and personal fitness trainer developing a unique approach to behavior and life style change. I combined my clinical experience with life coaching and personal fitness training and formed a program called Your Life in Focus. This paradigm became an extremely effective approach to help individuals make significant and sustained life-style changes. My experience, and creative approaches can have important and meaningful impact on your life.

My name is Willard and I am a licensed counselor in several states. My practice primarily focuses on helping others deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I help others to be okay with things that are beyond their control and work with them to establish themselves as the protagonist in their own story. Many of the people that I meet are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and managing traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I also have extensive experience supporting teenagers who have experienced trauma, which led me to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Currently, I work with adults and youth, and I'm a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection. I am currently a social worker for a small hospice team in my area so am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations. I believe in strengths-based recovery that looks at all the systems that can impact us. Bits and pieces of different models incorporated together tend to have the most benefit, based on the person's needs. I have seen so many great successes!
