Most recently, for the past 3 years, I have been serving clients through the Grow Therapy, where I’ve had the privilege of reaching individuals who previously struggled to access care or find a therapeutic connection locally. Holding a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University, I’ve had the privilege of supporting the vibrant people of Florida.
I'm a therapist who believes healing doesn't have to be stiff, serious, or done on a strict timeline. Sometimes, it looks like rolling in on two wheels to make it "just on time," venting about your day, and finally saying outloud "I'm really just tired of holding it all together." I work with adults who are overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out and being "fine" all the time just isn't working anymore. Whether you're navigating the mental load of motherhood, trying to find yourself again after a major life shift, or stuck in that loop of overthinking and self-doubt, I'm here to help you slow down, breathe, and feel human again.
My style is warm, laid-back, and trauma-informed meaning, we go at your pace - no pressure, no judgment. I offer a supportive space where you don't have to have it all figured out; you just bring your whole, real self to therapy (messy feelings, messy bun, and all) and I'll bring curiosity, compassion, and a few solid tools to help you feel more grounded.

Our life path is full of ups and downs with unexpected twists and turns. We learn to develop a way of coping whether it is a positive or negative method to help deal with stressors or adapt to change. However, the majority of the time, we fall back on what we are accustomed to when dealing with a stressful situation or unexpected change; such as becoming confused, frustrated, emotional, withdrawing, angry, combative, or ignoring the situation and hoping the situation will just magically disappear or be resolved. Sometimes we need assistance to develop positive coping skills to deal with an unexpected changes or stressful situations.

With 26 years of practice, I bring professional expertise, personal understanding, sincerity, warmth and caring to your healing journey. Whether you’re navigating life solo or in a relationship, unresolved childhood trauma can quietly shape your patterns, reactions, and relationships. I help individuals and couples uncover those early wounds and start healing—through psychotherapy grounded in neuroscience and mindfulness. Because healing isn’t just talk; it’s nervous system deep. The body keeps the score, but you get to rewrite the story. Let’s create the life you were always meant to live. Not all therapies or therapists are created equal, as you know if you are still struggling with the same issues. Time for a change.
If you want to feel better about yourself, confident, excited about life, build healthier relationships, and become your best self, welcome to creating your best life. Together, we'll integrate Mind/Body/Spirit approaches with classical therapeutic interventions tailored to your unique needs.
Hi there, I am Charly.
As a clinical therapist, I admire your willingness to seek therapy support. I want to offer understanding, and empathic emotional support to assist anyone experiencing emotional distress.
Most people tend to suffer silently in their heads, or minds, due to conscious or subconscious, self-blame, shame, or guilt feelings as they seem to feel helpless. Individuals experiencing acute emotional distress due to mental health conditions often fail to realize that unresolved, deep internal pain or heartache is silently triggering their emotional distress.
One school of talk therapy called, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), proposes that the lack of the capacity for "Psychological Flexibility" and our brain's default, or Survival Mode functioning the instinctual responses of "Flight or Flight," as required for human survival.
As, your therapist, I am willing to support you in exploring your difficulty or distress and examine the mental barriers or psychological blinders causing you to feel internally conflicted and stuck. Some of my past and current clients tell me that "my ability to relate to them with an open mind and withholding personal judgment and a solution-focused perspective," helps them to feel at ease and connect with me and my style of therapy.
I follow an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from academic learning, experiential knowledge, and over 30 years of practicing experience using evidence-based treatment modalities based on scientific literature and up-to-date neuroscience research. I have training and experience in the following major treatment modalities such as CBT, REBT, SFBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and specifically to deal with trauma, a newer form of Rapid Eye Movement Therapy (Accelerated Resolution Therapy).
Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Carolina. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I provide counseling in both languages to best support my clients’ needs.
My professional background in mental health began during my undergraduate and graduate studies, where I gained experience working with children through the Department of Children & Families, with older adults in skilled nursing facilities, and with adolescents in group homes. Over the years, I have expanded my work to include diverse populations and settings. I served as a Nurse Navigator at one of the largest cancer hospitals in South Florida, providing counseling and advocacy for oncology patients and their families. I have also worked with adults in inpatient rehabilitation for substance use treatment, facilitated care for court-ordered clients, and supported outpatient clients within the LGBTQ+ community.
I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and individualized treatment planning. My focus is to meet clients where they are, help them return to a baseline where they feel comfortable and capable, and empower them to navigate life’s challenges.
I consider myself open-minded, compassionate, and deeply empathetic. My mantra is simple: I am here for you. My role is to walk alongside you, provide tools and support, and help you manage both daily stressors and long-standing challenges. Life can feel like a roller coaster—full of unexpected changes, emotions, and pressures—but with the right support, it’s possible to find balance, peace, and overall well-being.
My name is Melyssa Rivera-Lopez; a Forensic Licensed Clinician who graduated with high honors from Barry University. I have 9+ years of experience working as a clinician. Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based treatment options, assessments, diagnosis, recommendations pertaining to mental health status, and serving as an expert witness. Other functions include policy and program development, mediation, advocacy, and behavioral science research.
Hi, I’m Henry L. Smith Jr., LCSW, and I provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for children, adults, and families. I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, manage anxiety and depression, and navigate life transitions with clarity and confidence. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can grow, build resilience, and find lasting balance and peace you deserve.
Is something inside of you saying that it’s time for a change? Personal growth and development start with a desire and a willingness to try something new. I often tell my clients that the most important part of therapy is the relationship between them and their therapist. Sometimes it takes a few tries but don’t give up before the magic happens; the best investment you can make is in yourself.
I survived childhood cancer and have overcome many obstacles in my life which left me with a unique perspective that emphasizes post-traumatic growth. As a second-generation meditation practitioner, with a Bachelor’s degree in Contemplative psychology, a Master’s degree in social work, and an almost 20-year background as a licensed nurse, I emphasize a holistic approach and understand the importance of the mind-body connection. I bring a deep sense of presence to my work and I will hold a safe and sacred space for you to be fully seen, heard, accepted, and supported just as you are.
My philosophy is that people are the experts in their own lives and that therapy is not so much about giving advice, but more so about acting as a mirror to gently guide individuals to find what they are seeking from within. Together we will identify your dreams and goals and work through any blockages so that you can learn how to take care of yourself and thrive. I invite you to experience this state of being by beginning the journey of self-worth, healing, and exponential growth.
My approach is holistic and encompasses the whole person, addressing many dimensions of well-being, including biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual factors. I work with clients who have dual diagnoses, for example, a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder, or more than one mental illness, for example, bipolar disorder and PTSD. Many of the clients I work with do not meet criteria for PTSD, but have post-traumatic stress that is causing other conditions.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate the challenges of substance use, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. My work is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—approaches that support real change by combining empathy, skill-building, and a strong therapeutic alliance. With 8 years of clinical experience and lived experience with addiction and family trauma, I bring both professional knowledge and real-world understanding into the therapy room.
Above all, I offer a space where you don’t have to explain or justify your struggle—you can just be real. And from that place, we work together to create the life you want to live.

Hey! I am Renata. If you are here, you are probably contemplating change. My favorite quote is "tradition is the enemy of progress." There will not be sustained change without addressing potential problems in the way we have traditionally approached our circumstances. Welcome to the start of a new chapter in your life; Having the vulnerability to begin this journey is a huge step in the right direction, and I am proud of you!

Through ACT, you will learn to be more psychologically present, connect with your values, and make space for life’s inevitable pain. You will also discover how to take actionable steps despite emotional discomfort and cultivate an appreciation for each moment in your life.
While my specialty is brief therapy, some situations may require an extended therapeutic relationship, which can be beneficial for adults and parents dealing with complex mental health challenges and navigating difficult child-rearing adjustments at home.
I have two decades of experience treating clients with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. I also have experience treating clients who are having relationship problems or are going through a difficult situation and need help getting past it in a healthy way. You don’t have to start with confidence—just with willingness.

I am licensed in Florida with more than 20 years of professional work experience. I have been employed with the same community agency for more than 20 years (yeah I'm not a quiter). I have extensive experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, anger management, domestic violence, criminal justice issues, relationship issues, and parenting issues. I am a firm believer that you are the expert of your story! You have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you and collectively WE will identify them and utilized them in achieving ones goal! By taking the first step to sign up for therapy, it takes courage and for that I am proud of you for getting started!
