Many Black men carry responsibility, emotion, and expectation without having a space to process what they’re carrying. Over time, this can show up as stress, anger, anxiety, or feeling worn down. I provide individual therapy for Black men and for adolescents who need a space where they are understood. I also help parents and caregivers — especially those raising Black and Brown boys and families in blended or co-parenting systems — build clarity, connection, and consistent discipline. My approach is relational, culturally informed, and focused on helping you understand patterns, reduce overwhelm, and strengthen your family system.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 26 years of experience counseling others around grief and loss, depression, anxiety, couple’s issues, and chronic health issues. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and meaning centered therapies. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you on that journey.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I received my Masters from the Lynn University and have been practicing for 10 years. I help adults 35 and over struggling with life stress and family dysfunction. I believe these underlying issues compose our personalities and affect how we interact with others and cause an impact on present relationships, jobs and self-esteem. The symptoms of these historical issues are anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and an ability to feel good about oneself.

Hi there, I'm Betty.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or major life changes? Maybe you're experiencing a lack of healthy boundaries in relationships or aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs, I am an experienced licensed mental health counselor who works with those struggling with relationship issues, grief, trauma, mood disorders, boundaries, anxiety, depression, daily life struggles etc. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. Transformation and healing are obtained by developing a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and responses.
My purpose as a therapist is to help you along the path to a functional and fulfilling life. Whether the obstacles to achieving this goal are habits and behaviors you want to change, relationship issues, or present and past traumas. We will work together to develop a comprehensive plan to alleviate or minimize stressors and struggles. The goal is to move in positive directions while establishing healthy coping skills.
There are many reasons that a person may seek counseling. Facing hardships in life can be very difficult, especially when trying to navigate them alone. Letting others into our pain and circumstances can be scary. It can also be a time for immense growth. Therapy can provide both support and hope as you work towards a greater sense of wholeness and healing.
I enjoy helping people gain a greater sense of identity and purpose through a creative, emotionally focused, and experiential approach to therapy. Whether dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome any challenges and barriers holding you back.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in Florida . Earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University in 1999 and Master of Science degree in Counseling at Webster University in 2003.
I have provided over 25 years of experience providing therapeutic services and case management to diverse populations for individuals in Juvenile Detention facilities, Youth and Adult Prisons, Mental Health crisis/residential facilities, in-home, church, and in-school counseling. I have experience with individual therapy, family therapy, psycho-educational, group counseling and youth sporting teams.
I am a compassionate and dedicated professional, guided by a strong sense of humanism and a genuine vocation for helping others. I believe that a good life is not a fixed state, but an ongoing process—a direction rather than a destination.
I see therapy as a meaningful path toward self-awareness and personal growth. It offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, redefine challenges, and transform them into learning experiences. Entering therapy requires courage, commitment, and openness, and through that process, real and lasting change becomes possible.
You want change but don't know where to start. You might be experiencing debilitating emotional, psychological, and/or physical pain. Or depression that leaves you feeling lost and alone. Maybe you have intense anxiety and fear that prevents you from connecting with those you love and that keeps you from feeling accomplished. Perhaps a slow eroding of your self-esteem has taken root and negatively impacting your abilities to see the wonder and awe in the world.
If you are experiencing any of these feelings, emotions, or life challenges, please know that you are not alone. In collaboration we will heal the root of pain and create a path to your heart center where you are free of burdens and able to thrive.
I am a skilled clinician who is authentic, intuitive, and focused. My counseling approach is individualized where I draw from current research in brain science, physiology of trauma, counseling, positive psychology, existential philosophy, and mind sight.
I provide services in a culturally sensitive and trauma informed manner where you feel safe and capable to ignite your curiosity, where you will gain insight into your heart wisdom and intelligence, and where meaningful releases of painful body sensations and memories happens without being re-traumatized. Positive change is possible.
I am here for you.
Hello! Does it seem overwhelming to be searching for a therapist for yourself? I get it! My name is Sonja (rhymes with "lasagna"). I enjoyed working with children and their families for 15 years, and then I transitioned to the medical field, where I was blessed to continue my professional growth within a variety of settings. My husband and I have one spoiled dog, Bo, a boxer-hound mix, who brings lots of laughs to our home.
My specialties include working with adults (age 18+) dealing with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, grief, and life transitions. I love to help people, and I usually incorporate some humor into sessions, because sometimes you just need to laugh! I utilize a positive approach and will ask for something positive since our last session each time we meet. I believe that is a life skill
NOTE: You must be in a setting that is private and has stable internet for our telehealth sessions. I do not meet with people while they are driving, but if you need to sit in your car for privacy, for example, that is fine.
Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep.
I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people.
I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.
I am a licensed psychotherapist dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families in navigating life’s challenges. I strive to create a compassionate and welcoming space where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether you are working through anxiety, relationship difficulties, or seeking personal growth, I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to help you gain clarity, foster resilience, and move toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
In our work together, you can expect a supportive space to explore your experiences and emotions at your own pace. We will focus on setting meaningful goals that reflect your values and fit your life circumstances. Whether you are looking to improve communication, manage stress, or build healthier relationships, each session will offer practical tools and insights you can carry into daily life. My goal is to empower you to make lasting changes, strengthen your resilience, and create a more fulfilling and authentic life. I look forward to supporting you on this journey.
With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I take an integrated and personalized approach to therapy, honoring each client’s unique journey. My focus is on building a strong foundation of trust and safety, creating space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, we'll work together to find a path to wellness that aligns with your values and goals.
Hello, I am Viktoria.
Life doesn't always go as planned, and transitions, illness, and trauma are rarely anticipated. Are you struggling with self-defeating patterns that are causing depression, anxiety, and /or a feeling of being stuck? Do you want to make changes in your personal and professional life? Do you have challenges in your relationship? Individuals have unique and individual needs, which should be recognized. Most of the time, you will be able to handle the situation with the help of your friends and family or on your own.
There are times when you might need professional guidance and support to learn specific techniques to help you manage your thoughts and feelings. An important aspect of therapy is the opportunity to explore feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression, grief, and shame, and to begin the process of creating positive and lasting changes. This takes place in a non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust, safety, and compassion. My style is calm, warm, and relaxed, and I believe in creating a safe environment for you in which compassion, support, and humor can flourish.
Together, we can gain insight and understanding of the relationships between emotions, core beliefs and behaviors in order to find solutions to the problems you are facing.
My name is Susana Mejia Vargas. I am a fully bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and my main focus is to help clients with unresolved trauma. Depending on how you are affected, trauma can cause difficulties in your daily life, such as hopelessness, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, constant irritability, and stress. I help my clients better understand the challenging aspects of traumatic events that are affecting their emotional and mental health. I will make clinical judgments about how to proceed in certain situations, but you are an expert on yourself, even if you don't feel that way.
Psychotherapy provides a supportive and nonjudgmental space to explore life’s challenges, emotions, and transitions. My goal is to create a safe environment where you feel understood and empowered as we work together to identify your strengths, deepen your self-awareness, and develop effective coping skills. Through this process, we’ll focus on personal growth, resilience, and the tools needed to navigate change with confidence.
I was born in Brazil and have also lived in Switzerland, Ecuador, and now the United States. These experiences have shaped my worldview and help me bring a multicultural and compassionate perspective to my work. Given my background, I’m fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and value creating meaningful connections with clients from all backgrounds.
Outside of my practice, I’m passionate about exploring cultures through travel. I’ve had the opportunity to visit 30 countries so far. I also enjoy discovering new foods, exercise and spending sunny weekends outdoors in Florida.
As a therapist, I’m known for being empathetic, authentic, and attuned to my clients’ needs. I believe everyone possesses inner strengths and resources that, when nurtured, can help overcome challenges and foster meaningful, lasting change.
Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.
Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and I honor the courage it takes to begin this process. If we work together, you can expect a therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and respect. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are—no masks, no pressure—and begin to explore what healing and growth look like for you.
My approach is thoughtful and tailored. I draw from evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, adapting each session to meet your needs and goals. Whether you are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I help you make sense of your experiences, strengthen emotional awareness, and find new ways to move forward.
I believe therapy should not just be about coping—it should be about transformation. That might mean learning how to quiet an inner critic, setting healthier boundaries, deepening relationships, or reconnecting with your sense of purpose. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, and I will walk beside you each step of the way with compassion, curiosity, and care.
If you are looking for a therapist who listens deeply, challenges gently, and is committed to helping you build a more grounded and empowered version of your life, I would be honored to work with you.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist nearing 20 years’ experience, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy. I’m often looking for "the funny" in the moment and the world around me. I greatly enjoy sarcasm, snark, and satire. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy".
I'm often daydreaming of going on cruises with my wife and occasionally think about bringing our children as well. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movie. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter. Prior to being a therapist, I found myself listening and caring, as people would end up just talking to me and telling me their life story. I decided I should put that to good use. Additionally, growing up my family was fortunate to be able to adopt and quickly we became a larger family that could not remember when my sister was not part of the family. Through the process, I realized how important family and relationships.
I appreciate and look forward to the chance to help others get through the rough patches, when life hits hard. When the answer is not easily found, we take time to look at all the options and find something, at least one step towards better. We're not looking for perfection, just looking for progress, a little bit here and there.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Florida, Oregon, Kansas (LSCSW), New Hampshire, and Texas. I received my Master's degree from Louisiana State University and have been practicing for 9 years. I help adults find ways to heal from their trauma, help them become more self-aware, and to stop negative thinking, so they can become the best versions of themselves. I help adults ages 18+ struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, relationship issues, suicidal ideations, self-harm, grief/loss, life transitions, and anger management.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities such as CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, Interpersonal, Narrative, Supportive, Compassionate, Grief, and various others depending on your needs. I help clients stay in the present moment (utilizing other techniques) as this can be very difficult to do in our busy lives today.
I became a social worker because I want to help people feel better about themselves and their lives. I no longer wanted to be "just an employee" and work for a large organization. I wanted to use my strengths and abilities to help others because it would be challenging and rewarding. Therapy is a form of "self-care", and we will work together as a team to address your specific challenges, goals, and needs. I am dedicated, passionate, and caring.
I also conduct emotional support animal evaluations in Florida, Texas, New Hampshire, Kansas, and Oregon. If you would like more information about me or getting an emotional support animal evaluation completed, please visit my website at instillinghopepsychotherapy.com.
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Therapist (FL/NJ/VA). My therapeutic approach is based on the individual's specific needs. I also use traditional talk therapy with my clients. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of therapy that enables you to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I work with adult clients. *NOTE: According to my policy, I do not complete FMLA or disability paperwork at this time.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensed in Florida. I received my post-graduate education from Capella University. I have been counseling for 10 years. I am married with 5 adult children, and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy helping people learn how to live their best life, focusing on staying in the moment. Your journey of mental healing will include letting go of the past, staying in the present moment, and not fearing the future.
Hello! I am a Licensed Psychologist in Florida with 26 years of experience working with adults, couples, and older children/young adults. Together, we will identify the challenges you are facing and work toward meaningful, effective changes that support your growth and well-being. I specialize in helping clients recognize patterns of thinking and behavior that are no longer serving them and introducing new strategies that foster a healthier, more fulfilling way of life. Together we will also focus on strengthening relationships through improved communication, conflict resolution, and providing a safe, supportive space to process emotions—helping you feel more confident in your relationships and in yourself.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, practicing since 2014, with a Master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University (2012). Over the years, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, past trauma (emotional and physical abuse), maternal mental health, medical trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting stressors, and major life transitions.
I am trained in multiple evidence-based and expressive approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Brazelton Touchpoints, Perinatal Mental Health, and Art Therapy techniques. This allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.
I truly value walking alongside clients on their healing journey, helping them move toward the goals and life they envision. I know reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I would be honored to be part of your path toward growth and well-being.
