I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and EMDR Certified (EMDR-C). I help people heal from trauma and reclaim the parts of themselves that trauma has buried — the confidence, the trust, the ease.
I founded Intake Psychotherapy & Wellness, LLC because I believe everything we "intake" throughout life — every experience, every relationship, every loss — shapes who we become. I offer telehealth therapy across Florida and Georgia, plus in-person sessions in Newnan, Georgia. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a TeleMental Health Training Certificate (THTC).
I work with clients 18 and up, treating childhood and adult trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and ADHD. I don't believe healing follows one formula, so I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches to fit each person in front of me — not the other way around.
I’m a passionate and experienced therapist committed to empowering adults through compassionate care, active support, and mutual respect. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where trust can flourish and healing can begin.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for a positive change, "your time is now" !!! Together, we’ll take it one day at a time, setting realistic goals that help you move toward greater freedom, emotional wellness, and the best version of yourself. I’ll be here to guide and equip you with insight and practical tools to help you grow, heal, and thrive.
With over 30 years of experience serving individuals and families from multicultural backgrounds—and more than 20 years as a first responder in crisis intervention and mental health diagnosis—I bring a deep understanding of human resilience and the tools to foster transformation. I’m currently licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Master Certified Addiction Professional in the state of Florida.
If you’re ready to move beyond the “presenting problem” and take back control of your life, I’m honored to walk alongside you on that path.
Hi, I am Brandy, and I want to thank you for taking the time to invest in you, your family, and making your mental health a priority. Following your unique path sometimes means sharing the burden and asking for a little help. I'm already proud of you for taking this first step. Whatever your needs are, I am confident I can help.
I have practiced over 15 years in the field helping people from ages 4 to end of life, ranging in many interpersonal and social issues we face in our society. I'm pretty eclectic in my practice addressing each situation with unique care tailoring my practice to your personal needs. I have a holistic approach hoping to help you find balance in all areas of life so you may find peace along your path. I love working with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which has been proven to work with a large range of diagnosis to promote mindfulness, validation, communication skills, emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

I am an Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has extensive experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, where the prominent perspective was person-centered therapy. I have worked with several different client populations including couples with marriage difficulties, adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other life adjustment issues, physically and sexually abused adolescents and adults, adolescents with mental health issues related to school, home, adjustment, or mental illness, and even adolescents and adults on the verge of suicide. In working with these populations, I have gained vast experience in family dynamics and feel it is important to focus on the whole system, especially when a child is involved. I have also been trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I feel many adults and adolescents could greatly benefit from learning these skills. God is our ultimate counselor and His word is referenced and prayed from as part of the healing process.
I'm a psychotherapist with 35-plus years of experience. After completing training in clinical social work and psychology at the University of Maryland (M.S.W., 1988) and Saybrook Institute (Ph.D., 1991), I began practicing as a family, couples and individual therapist. I have hosted on radio/podcasts, have written two books and thousands of self-help articles in my "Life's a Beach" column for nationwide Gannett media. I love working with clients in the here-and-now, and finding solutions to move forward with life. My primary goal is to help you help yourself. I will guide and coach you, not tell you what to do. Diagnostic labels are useful at times, but you are not your labels. I'm your thinking partner: We'll reason and think our way to what makes sense together.
Anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma can leave you feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck. Whether you're navigating stress, divorce, family conflict, or other significant life changes, therapy can help you build the tools and confidence to move forward.

Hi, I'm Anabel. I work with adults who are ready to grow: leveling up how you communicate, setting boundaries that stick, building self-worth, and learning to manage your emotions instead of getting hijacked by them. Picture making decisions without the guilt spiral, saying what you need without over-explaining yourself, and handling hard moments from a calm, grounded place instead of full-on reacting. Picture relationships built on honesty and respect, including with yourself. If that sounds like what you're going for, let's connect!

I believe that each one of us has the answers to our problems inside of us. However, sometimes we need someone on our journey to help us unlock those answers by asking the right questions---things you may not have considered, presenting proven strategies, and psychoeducation. Although, you will make strides with the energy and effort you give, the number one predictor that one will improve is the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I hope to provide a place of warmth, compassion, and acceptance in which you feel empowered and free to approach any concerns. I am here to help you along on your journey.

Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life. They are labeled by others as shy, quiet, or introverted. This scenario described myself for much of my life which gives me lived experience to better able to assist you. I help individuals combat their social fears and begin to live a rich and fulfilling life. I do this through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques primarily but also integrate solution-focused therapy, assertiveness training, exposure therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Whether you're a teen struggling to make friends and socialize or you are an adult unable to speak up at work meetings or unable to ask someone out on a date, I'm here for you! Seeking therapy can be frightening but I want to assure you that you will be most welcome if you take that leap of faith!

Hello, and welcome. Reaching out for support is a courageous step, and my goal is to provide a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported while working toward meaningful change. I’m a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions.
I believe therapy should be both compassionate and honest. While I provide empathy, encouragement, and support, I also believe growth sometimes requires direct conversations delivered with care and respect. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, but I’m also willing to challenge unhealthy patterns, help you gain insight, and encourage accountability when needed so you can move forward in healthier ways.
With experience working in emergency departments, psychiatric units, transitional housing programs for substance abuse, and with military families, I’ve supported individuals through some of life’s most difficult and emotionally complex experiences. These settings have strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure while helping clients feel grounded, heard, and empowered during challenging times.
My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation, to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build practical tools to help you cope more effectively, improve emotional balance, and create lasting change.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or simply ready for growth, therapy can help you gain clarity, healing, and confidence. I would be honored to support you on that journey.
