Hi!!! As a licensed mental health counselor, I deeply understand the vital role that trust, and unconditional acceptance play for individuals who have faced the challenges of trauma. Your decision to embark on this journey of healing is commendable—it's a courageous leap toward reclaiming your well-being. Whether you're grappling with unresolved challenges from your past, recent experiences that have been particularly tough, or feelings of disconnection from those around you, I want you to know that you're not alone. Together, we can take the time to understand and address these complexities, allowing you to find healing and a renewed sense of connection.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin to understand what’s been challenging you. I’ll ask some questions to get a fuller picture of your life—your stressors, strengths, relationships, and any past experiences that feel important. You don’t need to have all the answers; we’ll figure things out together at your pace. We’ll also talk about how therapy works, what you can expect moving forward, and how we’ll collaborate to make this a space that truly supports you. Whether you're feeling anxious, curious, or unsure, you’re welcome just as you are.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in empathy, trust, and authenticity, knowing that healing often begins with connection. I bring a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens to my work, and I’m attuned to the importance of each client’s unique background, identity, and lived experience. I strive to approach each session with curiosity rather than assumption, helping clients feel empowered and respected in their healing journey.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I firmly believe that each individual possesses a unique story that deserves to be shared. As a therapist, my role is to support clients in their journey toward self-discovery and healing. By employing a strengths-based perspective, I am dedicated to empowering individuals to recognize and enhance their resilience.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I have experience providing Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), an evidence-based, trauma-informed intervention designed for children aged 0–5 and their caregivers who have experienced trauma, loss, or significant relational stress. CPP supports the development of a secure attachment relationship between child and caregiver, using the parent-child dyad as the vehicle for healing. I also incorporate cultural humility and strengths-based approaches, recognizing the importance of context, identity, and family values in the healing process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based, structured, and goal-oriented treatment approach that helps clients identify and modify unhelpful thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses. I apply CBT across a range of clinical presentations, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and adjustment difficulties, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s developmental and cultural context.

EMDR

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based psychotherapy approach primarily used to treat trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR facilitates the brain’s natural healing process by helping clients reprocess traumatic memories that may be "stuck" or unintegrated, leading to ongoing emotional or psychological distress.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have clinical experience implementing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment approach originally developed for individuals with emotion dysregulation, chronic suicidal ideation, and borderline personality disorder (BPD), and now widely applied to a range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, and trauma-related conditions.

Motivational Interviewing

I have extensive experience utilizing Motivational Interviewing (MI), a client-centered, directive therapeutic approach designed to enhance an individual’s motivation to change by resolving ambivalence.
