I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and EMDR Certified (EMDR-C). I help people heal from trauma and reclaim the parts of themselves that trauma has buried — the confidence, the trust, the ease. I founded Intake Psychotherapy & Wellness, LLC because I believe everything we "intake" throughout life — every experience, every relationship, every loss — shapes who we become. I offer telehealth therapy across Florida and Georgia, plus in-person sessions in Newnan, Georgia. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a TeleMental Health Training Certificate (THTC). I work with clients 18 and up, treating childhood and adult trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and ADHD. I don't believe healing follows one formula, so I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches to fit each person in front of me — not the other way around.
Walking into a first session can feel vulnerable, especially when trauma is part of your story. I hold that space with care, not clinical distance. You'll never feel rushed or judged here. In our first session, I get to know you as a whole person — not just your symptoms. We'll talk through what brought you to therapy, how it's showing up in your daily life, and how long you've been carrying it. From there, we'll set goals together so I can build an approach around your needs, not a generic template. You'll always have room to bring up whatever else surfaces along the way. My goal from session one: help you feel safe, heard, and moving toward healing.
Mental health advocacy isn't a side interest for me — it's the engine behind everything I do. I'm an outspoken advocate for mental wellness and against domestic violence, and I bring that same conviction into the room with every client. Counseling isn't just my profession; it's my calling. I work to destigmatize mental illness and help clients see their mental health as inseparable from their overall wellbeing. Through education, honesty, and steady support, I help clients build resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change — not just short-term relief. That conviction is what lets me connect deeply and advocate fiercely for the people I work with.
I work with people ready to face the lasting weight of childhood trauma, past trauma, or more recent traumatic events. My clients often carry that impact as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or a shaky sense of confidence. Many struggle to communicate clearly, sustain healthy relationships, or manage anger and frustration without it taking over. These are people who feel stuck — in pain, disconnected, overwhelmed — and are ready for something different. They want a space that's genuinely safe to explore what hurts, reconnect with their emotions, and build real tools for regaining control. Together, we rebuild self-worth, strengthen emotional regulation, and repair communication — so relationships and self-image both get healthier, and empowerment stops being a buzzword and starts being real.

I don't believe one modality works for every client, or that any single method works alone. I'm EMDR Certified and trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I draw on multiple evidence-based approaches — tailoring the mix to what each client actually needs rather than forcing them into one framework. This eclectic, client-led approach is core to how I practice trauma-informed care.
