What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I seek to provide individuals with quality counseling in a safe space so they can grow, heal, and rebuild. I assist individuals with healing from trauma and other stress-related issues and live with purpose. I create a nonjudgmental, unconditional, and compassionate environment for each of my clients to grow, heal, and rebuild their lives in a positive and healthy way. Clients often report leaving sessions with me feeling empowered and understanding more about what they are experiencing than they did before starting therapy with me. As a therapist, I lead from behind and my clients are always in control.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am an integrative therapist, meaning I integrate various therapeutic modalities to assist clients on an individual basis. I firmly believe that no one modality or intervention suits all. Modalities I use often are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, Trauma-focused (CBT), Solution-focused, some EMDR, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic. Many of the modalities I use require clients to be active, both during and between sessions. You will be asked to consider new perspectives and practice new behaviors. Please note that successful psychotherapy involves a commitment of time, collaboration, and openness to building a rapport with your therapist.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a strong advocate for mental wellness and against domestic violence and seek to empower people on the significance of caring for their mental health. For me, counseling is more than a profession but a calling. Thus I strive to destigmatize mental illnesses and empower individuals to understand the importance of maintaining mental wellness.
