As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I am passionate about helping individuals heal and grow. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Webster University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. My Certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional from Evergreen (2019) and TeleMental Health Training Certificate (THTC) reflect my commitment to providing effective, evidence-based care. I am the founder of Intake Psychotherapy & Wellness, LLC, an online private practice designed to treat the whole person. My goal is to guide my clients in connecting the dots between their emotional, mental, and physical selves, so they can find the balance, wellness, and happiness they deserve. I offer tele-therapy for clients aged 19 and up across the state of Florida, specializing in the treatment of childhood and adult trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, and ADHD. With years of experience working in community health settings with adolescents, adults, and families, I understand how deeply life’s experiences—both positive and negative—shape who we are. That’s why I named my practice Intake Psychotherapy & Wellness: everything we "intake" throughout life impacts us. I help clients unlearn the patterns causing distress and rediscover their strengths, building a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When you begin therapy with me, you can expect to enter a safe, nonjudgmental space where you’ll feel truly heard and understood. I’m not just passionate about what I do—I’m genuinely committed to helping you address your concerns with care and authenticity. I approach our work together with empathy, ensuring that you feel supported throughout your journey. Our first session is all about getting to know you as a whole person. I take the time to deeply understand what brings you to therapy, how it impacts your day-to-day life, and how long you’ve been carrying these challenges. We’ll also discuss your goals for therapy, which allows me to craft a personalized approach tailored to your unique needs. While our focus will be on the issues you want to address, you’ll always have the freedom and space to explore other areas as they arise. My goal is to help you find healing, balance, and empowerment in a way that feels right for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my deep passion for mental wellness and advocacy. I am a dedicated advocate for mental health and against domestic violence, committed to empowering people to recognize the vital role their mental well-being plays in their overall health and happiness. For me, counseling is not just a profession—it’s a calling. This drives me to create a safe, compassionate space where individuals can explore their challenges without fear of judgment. I am dedicated to destigmatizing mental illness and helping my clients embrace the importance of maintaining their mental health. Through education and support, I strive to empower each person I work with to take charge of their mental well-being, fostering resilience, self-awareness, and long-term healing. My genuine belief in the transformative power of therapy allows me to connect deeply with my clients and provide them with the care and advocacy they need to thrive.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in working with individuals who are ready to address the lingering impact of childhood or past traumas, as well as more recent traumatic experiences. My clients often struggle with the emotional and psychological aftermath of trauma, which can manifest as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and confidence issues. They may also face challenges in communication, maintaining healthy relationships, or managing emotions like anger and frustration. These are individuals who have often felt stuck in cycles of pain, disconnection, or overwhelm, and are now seeking a path toward healing and growth. They are looking for a safe, supportive space to explore these challenges, connect with their emotions, and develop tools to regain control of their lives. Together, we work on rebuilding self-worth, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing communication to foster healthier, more meaningful relationships and a sense of personal empowerment.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I believe no one treatment method works for each client or one treatment alone works for a client. Therefore, I use a number of evidence based modalities to assist clients as needed.
