I’m a licensed mental health counselor with a background in healthcare, and I’m passionate about helping
people feel stronger, more confident, and more at peace with themselves. I primarily work with individuals
navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and life transitions, especially women who are adjusting to
new phases or challenges in life.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in the healthcare field. This experience deepened
my understanding of how physical and emotional well-being are connected and gave me a holistic view of
the challenges my clients face. My goal is to help you move forward in a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling way
so you can become the best version of yourself.

My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to understand themselves more deeply, reduce distress, and take meaningful steps toward feeling more confident, grounded, and in control of their lives. I believe that change is possible when clients feel heard, understood, and equipped with the right tools.

This Journey is all about YOU!
(Se habla Espanol, and SPANGLISH)
You might look like you have everything under control on the outside while feeling exhausted and restless on the inside. I work with adults navigating chronic anxiety, stress, and perfectionism. In our sessions, we will slow down, explore what is driving the pressure, and find ways for you to feel more grounded
What typically surprises people is that I am the 11th of 13 children - all from the same parents. Growing up with so many siblings has given me a great opportunity to learn about family dynamics and effective discipline. My parents did a great job of maintaining a safe and well-behaved home, and I use their example as a template while also incorporating my own experience as a parent for working with families today.
As for my approach to therapy, I use several different theories depending on the need of the client; however, my primary mode is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It just fits my personality. If you are looking for a therapist who focuses solely on your emotions and how you're feeling on any given day, then I will not be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a therapist who not only does all that but who will also listen to everything you say (as well as the meaning behind what you say) and then challenge your thinking habits to help you find more effective and productive thinking patterns, then I'm on board for that. I learned a long time ago that many clients do not want things "Sugar Coated", but rather prefer their therapist to be respectfully bold and blunt. If this is who you are looking for in a therapist, then let's get to work.

Sustainable change isn't a matter of willpower; it’s a matter of design.
Most people who feel "stuck" aren't lacking motivation—they are simply operating within a system that wasn't built to support their unique brain or their highest goals. As an LMHC and BCBA with over 20 years of clinical experience, I specialize in the science of behavior to help you move past trying harder and start building smarter. I define my approach as Behavioral Architecture. Together, we identify the environmental friction—procrastination, anxiety, or digital distraction—and replace self-blame with structural solutions. Through the Masterpiece Framework, we audit your daily systems to ensure they align with your core values and the identity you are intentionally cultivating. We aren't just changing habits; we are clearing the path so you can live with the clarity and intention of a Masterpiece in progress.
As a bilingual clinician, I offer a practical perspective that honors the challenge of navigating diverse cultures. I help you bridge the gap between your heritage and your future, ensuring the systems we design together are both culturally resonant and personally meaningful.

Hi, I'm David Hobbs. I’ve been practicing as a licensed psychologist for more than 25 years, primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy as an effective tool to treat anxiety and depression. As these can be emotionally debilitating conditions, addressing these issues can improve one’s sense of well-being, and thus their lives in general, dramatically. For the past 5 years, I have incorporated spirituality into my treatment regimen, thus addressing that aspect of one's personality in relation to improving their overall sense of emotional well-being. I have recently authored a book, "God is Love, Revelations From Spiritually Transformative Experiences," to help enlighten others who have questions about God and spirituality, and incorporate these lessons into their everyday lives.
