I have worked in the clinical field for over 25 years and have been licensed as a clinician for over 15 years. I am dual-licensed as a clinical social worker (LCSW) and as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT). I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master’s Degree from Florida International University in Social Work. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have had extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I moved into a successful private practice over seven years ago.

Many times clients who contact me have no experience in therapy, but just know that their life is not satisfying or something is off. That's enough by the way! I possess a bachelor’s in psychology, a master’s in Counselor Education, and an MBA that I obtained from Florida Atlantic University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked in the Child Welfare system with children and families for most of my career. However, I have also worked with the substance abuse population, sexually assaulted, and in the prison system throughout Dade and Broward Counties. I have assisted in the start-up of a female therapeutic group home in Broward County and a co-ed group home shelter in Dade County.

I believe that people as unique individuals have the capacity to grow, heal and change, learning new ways to improve their health and well-being in all areas of life, including biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. Personal growth is facilitated by setting and working toward goals, assessing and building strengths in these areas to develop skills and resources that help them manage life challenges.
