I am a warm, collaborative Licensed Clinical Social Worker with international training and experience across private practice, hospitals, schools, and court settings. I specialize in working with people across the lifespan navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, and ADHD. As someone who personally understands ADHD, I bring both clinical expertise and lived insight to this work. I understand the overwhelm, the racing mind, the emotional intensity, and the frustration of feeling misunderstood as well as how this can impact our relationships. Therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all — especially for neurodivergent clients. I tailor our work to how your brain functions, integrating structure, creativity, and practical strategies that actually stick. My approach is individualized and client-led. Together, we unpack the “cloud of worry,” explore attachment patterns and nervous system responses, and identify clear, achievable goals. I integrate ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and attachment-focused work to support meaningful and sustainable change. As the founder of Finding My Better, LLC, I center therapy around one guiding question: What does “better” look like for you? I am also an artist, musician and a mother of two, bringing grounded perspective, creativity, and real-life understanding into the therapy space.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Therapy with me is individualized and client-led. I believe each person brings their own strengths, story, and pace to the process. One of my core strengths is helping clients unpack what can feel like a “cloud of worry” — the overwhelm, racing thoughts, or emotional patterns that make it hard to see clearly. Together, we create space to slow down, gain clarity, and define what “better” truly looks like for you. I focus on identifying achievable, meaningful goals while increasing self-awareness and insight. Strengthening your relationship with yourself is often the foundation for improving relationships with others and creating lasting change. I also believe in the importance of identifying 'what is the story I tell myself' and how your narrative influences your whole life. I also have experience working with couples and families, supporting healthier communication, boundary-setting, and more secure connection patterns. Above all, I believe therapy should empower you. My role is not to direct your life, but to support you in recognizing your strengths, building confidence, and moving forward with greater clarity and intention.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths lie in helping clients move from overwhelm to clarity while feeling deeply understood. I’m skilled at identifying underlying patterns — particularly those rooted in attachment wounds, trauma, ADHD, and chronic stress — and translating insight into practical, actionable steps. What makes my work distinctive is the integration of creativity and experiential approaches. As an artist and musician, I incorporate reflective exercises, mindfulness, and nervous system-based strategies that anchor clients in the present moment rather than staying stuck in rumination. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy for clients who process more effectively through movement and nature-based conversation. I practice with strong cultural awareness. Having lived on three continents and being part of a multicultural family myself, I understand the complexity of identity, transition, belonging, and cross-cultural dynamics. Therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all. I blend evidence-based modalities such as ACT, CBT, and attachment-focused work with creative and embodied techniques tailored to how each individual thinks, learns, and experiences the world.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted from carrying too much for too long. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma histories, burnout, relationship challenges, or significant life transitions. I work particularly well with individuals who are thoughtful and self-aware but find themselves caught in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, or difficulty setting boundaries. Some grew up in environments where they had to be the responsible one, the helper, or the peacekeeper — and are now realizing those patterns no longer serve them. Clients who resonate with my approach are often seeking deeper insight, healthier relationship dynamics, and a stronger sense of self. They want more than temporary coping strategies; they want meaningful, sustainable change. If you are ready to better understand yourself, shift long-standing patterns, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and grounded, we may be a good fit.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I have a lot of experience working with first responders, asylum seekers, refugees, and those who've experienced domestic violence/ intimate partner violence, child abuse/neglect, and other traumas. I integrate multiple modalities, including CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and more. Each individual has their own experiences, and therefore therapy is individually tailored.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I trained with Russ Harris, author of the book 'the Happiness Trap,' in Australia. He is known as one of the leaders in the field, and I was very honored to have this experience. I love this therapy type as it helps clients recognize the importance of learning how to recognize our thoughts as something to identify and sit with - without necessarily having to solve it, push it away - it helps increase self-awareness, insight. I love this therapy type as it also guides clients on the journey of better understanding core values and how that interweaves so many of our decisions.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I have done a great deal of work in the EAP and Management space; this therapy type is very effective for increasing insight and awareness into presenting issues and how to identify practical, achievable solutions. Often when we are overwhelmed, we have a 'big cloud of worry' of things - and it can be tricky to identify what those worries actually are. This therapy is wonderful at better identifying these, focusing on what we can control, identifying who is responsible for changing aspects of what we can, and by when. For some people 1-3 sessions is all they need to get going again! This type of therapy is great for that.
Attachment-based
I have a great deal of experience working with trauma; and often the experiences we have in early life with our primary cargivers can have a lifelong impact on other relationships throughout our lives. By learning about our attachment styles and experiences, we can better heal traumas, and better identify and community our needs, and choose more healthy relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been using this modality for many years, to help people increase awareness/insight into thought patterns that affect our choices and behaviors. Learning how to re-frame our narrative is very helpful. This method is very helpful especially for those that struggle with negative thinking, or 'feeling stuck' without necessarily understanding why. I also like to use mindfulness/ mindful-CBT.

Session went well, felt comfortable talking to her and left with things to think about and homework that will (hopefully) help going forward. Will be seeing her more often.
