I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Army Veteran with a strong commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My journey into the mental health field began after my military service, when I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology followed by a Master’s in Social Work. I spent 16 years working with the Department of Children and Families in Protective Investigations, where I developed extensive experience supporting individuals and families through complex and often high-stress situations. During that time, I also pursued my passion for clinical work and have now been providing therapy for approximately 8 years. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing ADHD, depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, anger management, and trauma, including domestic violence. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, with a focus on helping you build practical skills, resilience, and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, respectful space where you feel heard without judgment. We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and the goals you’d like to work toward. I’ll ask some questions about your background, strengths, and supports so I can better understand your full picture, while also giving you the opportunity to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities and discuss a plan tailored to your needs. My approach is collaborative and practical, so you can expect clear communication, support, and the start of building tools to help you move forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that it is both deeply intentional and genuinely lived. I don’t just teach coping skills, I incorporate these practices into my everyday life, which allows me to guide clients from a place of authenticity and real-world understanding. My work is rooted in creating a space that is meant to heal, meant to calm, and meant to restore a sense of balance, even in the midst of chaos. I use a blend of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual, focusing on practical tools that clients can carry beyond the therapy room. Clients often find that our work together not only helps them better understand their experiences, but also equips them with the clarity, emotional regulation, and confidence needed to create lasting change in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I believe I am best position to serve teens, young adults and the elderly. I am able to work with a diverse population who are suffering from the symptoms of anxiety, depression and ADHD. I also work with the transgender and LGBTQ community.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been working with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Restructuring for over 8 years.I find when clients are able to understand their emotional responses and create neutral or hopefully positive outcomes, they are able to lessen their anxiety and symptoms of depression. I believe this approach works when one has negative thoughts or possible irrational thinking. The importance of reframing can not be stressed enough. Using this technique will make you think you have a super power which it is.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Within the last five years, I have been using this approach more often especially with client that are affected with anxiety, PTSD and depression. I encourage clients to implement this approach in their daily life for best outcome. Several techniques use is different types of breathing method, mindfulness pauses through out the day, guided meditation to help with self esteem, positive emotions and motivation as well as anxiety and symptoms of depression. Using meditation on walks or in peaceful spaces. This is something I practice in my life and encourage client to work on it as well to ease their symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Positive Psychology

I have been working with the approach of Positive Psychology for the last five years. This technique focuses on the character strengths and behaviors that allow individuals to build a life of meaning and purpose—to move beyond surviving to thriving. For some of my clients, they may have difficulty in feeling happy. This approach can help them zone in within themselves to find their peace. Positive psychology emphasizes meaning and deep satisfaction, not just on fleeting happiness. This approach works well for clients suffering from anxiety and depression as well as low self esteem.

Diana gave me the time to express myself without interruptions and took notes . After I spoke, and I let her speak, she introduced herself and immediately booked our first appointment for a therapy to start helping me. That is very professional person when they put their patients first.

Initially I decided to go with Diana because she had a military background! It was a great decision ! She's so personable and relatable, and if I had to, I would pick her again! Thank you for your help, Diana!
