Life can be stressful and challenging from time to time. Often we may feel we are not where we want to be in our careers, relationships, or family life. My career has spanned over 15 years with regard to working with clients suffering from both mental illness and substance abuse issues. I work with children, adults, and couples in a very nurturing and non-judgmental environment.
The first session is to build rapport and to allow client to realize that I am there for them to address whatever issues that are bringing them into therapy. It's for the client to have a safe space to discuss and process their feelings at their pace. No expectations, only the wish that the client feels comfortable and wants to continue on their journey to self discovery and living the life that they deserve.
I am passionate about my work and very grateful to be in a profession that affords me the ability to both guide and witness an individuals journey toward growth and happiness. I work with individuals, families, and couples, facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and other emotional challenges.
My ideal client is anybody who wants help. I work with children, adolescents and adults. I have extensive experience in anxiety disorders, substance abuse and couples therapy. I respect the courage that individuals have to be willing to reach out and engage in self exploration.
CBT therapy is a very effective evidence-based approach in therapy that helps clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that are affecting our quality of life and how we feel on a daily basis. It is so effective for dealing with anxiety and depression.
Solution focused therapy is a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that emphasizes building solutions, as well as analyzing any problems. It goes beyond insight in order to achieve the changes that the client's want.
