Hello, I am an experienced MSW, LCSW with 30+ years of experience providing therapy and social services in a wide range of clinical settings: individual/group therapy, emergency crisis counseling, EAP and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I have experience working with individuals, men and women, adolescents, couples and families. I have expertise working with clients/families dealing with bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, OCD, depression, adjustment disorders, anger, grief/loss, and family and medical issues. Personal info: Married 33 years, 4 children, 9 grandchildren. I enjoy cycling, fishing and visiting family. I am an active, healthy cancer survivor. I am retired, and my most recent full-time position; a medical case manager. I have a very flexible open schedule. I am a genuine- easy-going, non-judgmental person. I believe everyone has value and worth.
First session is an introduction process -- with goal of introducing myself and my general process of providing therapy sessions.
My primary focus in therapy is Solution Based Therapy -- Identifying Issues/problems . Identifying and reviewing formative situations/ experiences. Identifying goals ,evaluating life balance issues. Looking for road blocks and begin developing positive actions to promote growth and healthy living.
I believe my 30+ years of experience is probably my most valuable asset. I also feel that my nonjudgmental viewpoint is very helpful and positive. And I believe that people certainly can use help navigating their problems-- but I think the best solutions in life are developed by people for themselves.
