Hello! I am a bilingual Spanish Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Connecticut. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Miami and have been helping clients from diverse cultural backgrounds for the past 25 years. I specialize in assisting adults (18+) who are struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and stress management. Additionally, I offer couples counseling to adults dealing with issues related to communication, trust, and intimacy.
Have you ever felt misunderstood by family and friends? Find it difficult to trust others including professionals? Have difficulty being seen as a person and not your condition? Do you feel alone? Do you struggle with adapting and accepting your chronic illness or chronic pain? Let's talk! I can help you build tools to gain strength and confidence in managing your personal challenges.
I empower adults with chronic illness/ pain or a history of abuse to take back their control and create healthy supports in order to stay on a path towards healing. Our experiences with our body or from how others treat us create unhealthy pathways for self regulation often exhibited as anger or anxiety. The compassion and guidance I provide will rewire those pathways allowing you to be the best version of yourself. In our sessions together, we will work on making small manageable changes through mindfulness, changing behaviors and embracing a positive healthy mindset. It’s often scary to start therapy for the first time or even to go back to therapy but it is the best self care gift you can give to yourself.
I am a licensed clinical therapist for over 25 years with a focus on helping individuals navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and problem-solving. My approach is grounded in creating a supportive and respectful space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I believe that meaningful change begins with being seen, not just for your struggles, but for your strengths.
Using a combination of strength-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, clarify goals, and develop effective strategies for growth and resilience. I aim to support you in moving forward with clarity and confidence.
Accepting New Clients! You look like you’re holding it together, but inside your mind won’t slow down. You overthink, procrastinate, struggle with executive functioning, or feel consumed by anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or body image concerns. You’re capable and high-achieving, yet constantly overwhelmed. You are not broken. Your nervous system is overloaded, and change is possible. I provide telehealth therapy for clients in Connecticut and South Carolina. If you’re ready for therapy that is both supportive and results-driven, let’s connect.

Are you sad? Mad? Stressed about the general state of the world?
My name is Nikki, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Connecticut. I have over 10 years of experience helping adults with addiction and mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, anger, stress, self esteem and healthy relationships. I am a big believer that everyone should have access to therapy because we all need a safe, unbiased person to talk to. I strive to create an environment where people feel supported, empowered, and motivated to work on their goals.
Do you often see patterns in your life that you would like to change ,yet still repeat them? Counseling sessions will provide the support and guidance to understand and release emotions that keep you stuck. Relationships are key, whether it be your relationship with yourself, your partner, family member or friends, you will be able to develop self awareness and understanding of the influence of family culture and dynamics.
Over 30 years as a therapist, I have worked in a variety of settings , with a wide spectrum of ages and cultures . This experience has deepened my respect for each individual's journey and the influence of their family beliefs. I help clients to acknowledge these beliefs and gradually transform and expand them to enhance rather than limit their lives.
I have enjoyed working with children and adolescents and bring this experience with me , yet I am currently working primarily with adults which includes a special enjoyment to help couples to successfully transform limiting patterns and develop clear communication and listening skills. I have learned so much about life transitions through my work with trauma, hospice, death and dying, treatment foster care, eating disorders and liaison work with educational and community. These experience have strengthen my belief in human resiliency.
All of the sessions are remote and I provide a phone call prior to beginning sessions where you will be able to ask questions to see if we are a good "fit" to work together.
Welcome, my name is Adam McReynolds. My ideal clients are individuals and families navigating trauma, identity, and major life transitions—whether due to military service, complex relationships, or adolescence. Many people feel overwhelmed by the weight of their past or unsure of how to move forward. We want to feel empowered, emotionally safe, and in control of our lives.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a combat Veteran certified in EMDR, I specialize in trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, and adolescent development. I offer a supportive, direct, and culturally responsive space to explore healing and growth. My work blends evidence-based approaches with deep compassion and practical tools.
Whether you're working through the lasting impacts of trauma, a teen trying to make sense of your world, or someone in a blended family seeking peace, you're not alone. I've walked alongside many on similar journeys, and I’m here to support yours. Let’s take the next step together.
I only provide telehealth at this time. I accept adjustment issues, life transitions, grief, mood or anxiety. I will be open and honest with you about what I can and cannot do for you within the confines of telehealth. I use the first session to determine that this is going to be a good fit for both of us. Therapy is very much about a good fit between two people and the right techniques. I intentionally keep a small caseload so I can give you the time without being preoccupied by keeping up volume. My availability is limited, so I can only accept mild to moderate mental health concerns. I am happy to direct you to more appropriate resources or providers if we aren't a good match. I see intake as a mutual interview for both of us to learn about each other and decide if we want to continue a therapeutic relationship.
In the interest of helping you get the best care possible, I ask that you seek in-person treatment if you struggle with a thought disorder, substance abuse, partner/relationship violence, or other safety concerns. I also do not take court or DCF mandated treatment cases via telehealth. I also do not specialize in divorce or child custody matters. While I am knowledgeable in these areas, I believe the best care is in-person.
Welcome!
I’m Kerri Griffin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience helping people move through life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and compassion. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on what matters most to you.
Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck, I offer practical tools and personalized support to help you move forward. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that reflects your goals and evolves with your journey.
I believe in creating a safe, affirming space where you can reconnect with your strengths, build resilience, and feel better—mentally, emotionally, and holistically.
It can be hard to reach out for help. Asking for help and support is the first step to feeling better.

Telehealth Tips
If you're used to seeing your mental health professional in their office, it may take some time to adjust to this new process. Take heart that our patients typically find video conferencing beneficial.
Make a list of the main symptoms you want to address in the conversation. Also be sure to indicate when your symptoms started, what tends to exacerbate them, and what, if anything, seems to soothe them.
Write down questions.
Remember that mental health appointments are a two-way street. This is your chance to ask questions you have about your symptoms, brain scan, diagnosis, and treatment. Having a list of questions ready can help you remember to ask them.
Have your medical and psychiatric history handy.
Your therapist may ask questions about past medical or psychological issues in addition to inquiring about names and dosages of medications you have taken. Having this information available can save precious minutes during your appointment so you can spend more time talking about how you are going to get healthy.
Minimize distractions and choose a quiet, comfortable spot
One of the best strategies to ensure a meaningful appointment is to eliminate distractions. Close your door, turn off the notifications on your phone, and make sure someone is watching the kids so you can focus. Being able to hear clearly is another important element of an effective mental Tele-Health Zoom appointment.
Try to minimize any background noise, such as the TV, the washing machine, or a barking dog. In addition, it's important that you feel comfortable in your setting during your appointment. Find a spot where you are relaxed and at ease.
Troubleshoot technology beforehand.
Find out what technology will be used and make sure you know how to use it prior to your appointment. Are you signed up for Zoom, Skype, or another video conferencing app? Do you know how it works? If you have never used the app before, do a practice call with a friend beforehand so you can work out the kinks.
Set a reminder to keep appointment.
Most of us can benefit from helpful reminders and alerts from our digital calendars. Setting your calendar to send you an alert 5-10 minutes prior to your virtual session can give you the time to gather your lists and questions and to prepare yourself mentally. Reminders can be especially critical if you have a tendency to be forgetful or inattentive.
Unblock your phone.
If you're doing a phone call, make sure your phone isn't set to block unknown callers and answer your phone at the designated time even if it shows that it's from an unknown caller.
DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Take notes and/or ask for a recap.

I enjoy assisting others and providing a listening ear. I believe that one has the power to experience happiness despite difficulties and/or unwelcoming circumstances. We can influence our brains and learn skills to handle stress, anxiety, and life challenges. I enjoy sharing knowledge to better assist clients to manage obstacles so that they can ultimately live a happier life.
