LCSW, 25 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical therapist for over 25 years with a focus on helping individuals navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and problem-solving. My approach is grounded in creating a supportive and respectful space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I believe that meaningful change begins with being seen, not just for your struggles, but for your strengths. Using a combination of strength-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, clarify goals, and develop effective strategies for growth and resilience. I aim to support you in moving forward with clarity and confidence.
In our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you, not just the challenges you’re facing, but how you see yourself and what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. We’ll begin with an initial assessment based on your initial questionnaire to understand your current concerns, history, and any patterns that may be impacting your well-being. This is also the time when we’ll start discussing your goals for therapy and begin building a treatment plan that feels both realistic and meaningful to you. Equally important is making sure we’re a good fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective work, so I invite open and honest communication from the beginning. I want you to feel safe, respected, and heard and I will always listen closely to what you say, and what you may not yet have words for. You don’t need to prepare anything special for the first session. Just come as you are. Whether you’re ready to dive in or are still figuring out what you need, we’ll take the time to understand where you’re starting from and where you hope to go. This is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that works for you.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in helping clients recognize and build on their existing strengths to navigate life’s challenges more effectively. I focus on supporting individuals as they shift their perspective and develop new ways of approaching problems, which can lead to meaningful progress in managing stress, anxiety, and difficult situations. I’m thorough and consistent in my work, taking the time to understand each client’s unique experience and collaborating with them to create practical, achievable goals. I value being available and responsive, and I approach therapy as a partnership built on respect and trust. My role is to help clients increase self-awareness, build resilience, and move forward with clarity and confidence. Therapy is a process of growth, and I’m dedicated to supporting clients through that process in a realistic and grounded way.
With over 25 years of experience, I am well positioned to support individuals navigating the many emotional and practical challenges that arise across the lifespan. I work with teens, young adults, individuals in midlife, and beyond. each stage brings its own unique pressures, transitions, and questions. Whether you're struggling with anxiety about the future, self-esteem, identity, relationships, or the stress of major life decisions, I’m here to help you explore and find a way forward. I understand how anxiety, sadness, and uncertainty can show up differently depending on where you are in life. I specialize in helping people make sense of those feelings, uncover their strengths, and gain clarity around their values and goals. Whether you’re working through a specific dilemma or just trying to understand yourself better, I provide a grounded, supportive space to do that work.
CBT can help identify negative beliefs thoughts, feelings and behaviors which are then challenged in order to make positive changes in these areas in order to decrease, manage or alleviate depression or anxiety.
It is easy not to remember or identify one’s strengths and how these strengths can be used to impact life goals.
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their own motivations for change in a nonjudgmental, supportive way. This approach encourages self-reflection, strengthens commitment, and empowers you to make choices aligned with your values and goals. Together, we work to build confidence and momentum for meaningful, lasting change.
