LCSW, 14 years of experience
New to Grow
With over 14 years of clinical experience as a therapist, I specialize in helping people navigate life's challenges with clarity, compassion, hope, and purpose. I take an active and collaborative approach with my clients, and my work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I see CBT not just as a clinical tool, but as a way to live your most authentic life. I believe CBT offers a framework for cultivating awareness, resilience, and intentional change, helping people align their thoughts, emotions, and actions with their deepest values. My goal for you is to a live a life in accordance with your values, and I help you achieve this by working with you to identify, challenge, and resolve any emotional, cognitive, or behavioral obstacles that stand in your way. I enjoy integrating humor when appropriate, and take a non-judgmental, lighthearted approach with my clients to create an atmosphere that feels warm, caring, and most important of all, safe. Additionally, I welcome the integration of faith into therapy when desired. I have my LCSW and my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I provide both individual and group psychotherapy with a particular interest in treating people struggling with substance use disorders, issues related to anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational issues. I am certified in CBT for Depression, CBT for Substance Use Disorders, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I have also received additional advanced training for CBT, couples therapy, and substance abuse treatment.
Your first session is a gentle beginning. We will start by getting to know each other and learning more about what you hope to achieve in our work together. I will ask you thoughtful questions to better understand your story, your strengths, and any challenges you are facing. You will have space to share at your own pace, and I will offer a calm, compassionate presence rooted in clinical expertise. Together, we will begin to shape a plan that fits your goals. Whether that is healing from trauma, reducing symptoms of depression or anxiety, making changes to your substance use, improving your relationships, or learning coping skills to better manage feelings of anger, I am here to help you become the person you have always wanted to be. You do not need to prepare anything in advance. Simply come as you are.
I bring a blend of clinical skill and genuine compassion to every session. Clients often describe me as funny, kind, and deeply understanding. I am someone who listens without judgement and offers support that feels both grounded and uplifting. I am curious by nature; always seeking to understand your unique story and help you uncover the patterns that shape your life. With over 14 years of experience and a heart for healing, I offer evidence-based therapies to help you move toward the life you were meant to live. My greatest joy is walking alongside people as they grow, heal, and align their lives with their deepest values and goals.
I work best with people who are ready to finally see their full potential. People who desire to put in the work to grow emotionally, relationally, and behaviorally. People who are yearning for change but just do not know how to go about it. People who are weighed down by worry and fear. If you are any of those people, I am here to walk alongside you and help lighten your load so you can finally become the person you are destined to be. My ideal client is someone seeking healing from substance use (either total abstinence or harm reduction), relational issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, or issues related to life transitions (i.e. - moving, job instability/job related issues, relationship issues, medical conditions, parenting, family of origin issues, pregnancy and loss, grief, etc.). Whether you are navigating grief, rebuilding after betrayal, or simply longing for deeper peace, I offer evidence-based tools like CBT, MI, and CPT, woven with creativity and hope. You do not need to have it all figured out...you just need a willingness to begin.
I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for over 14 years in my work with individuals and groups, and I see it not just as a therapeutic intervention - but as a way of living your most authentic life. CBT helps clients recognize how their thoughts shape their emotions and influence behaviors, and together we practice shifting those patterns toward truth and growth. Whether we are working through depression, anxiety, issues related to anger, substance use, or relational wounds, CBT offers a clear path to building a life worth living - fully, faithfully, and with renewed purpose. In addition to my LCSW, I also have my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and am certified in the following interventions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for substance use disorders, CBT for depression, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Additionally, I have received advanced training through the Beck Institute in CBT for anger management, CBT for anxiety, CBT for depression, CBT for personality disorders, CBT for couples, CBT for psychosis, and CBT for Substance Use Disorders. I have also completed the Gottman level 1 training, as well as some training for prolonged exposure therapy. Additionally, I completed a substance use certificate program through NYU.
I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients gently confront and reframe the painful beliefs that often follow trauma. Together, we explore how the trauma has shaped their thoughts about safety, trust, power, and identity - and begin to untangle those patterns with truth and clarity. CPT offers a structured yet deeply personal path toward healing, helping clients move from stuckness and fear into freedom and renewed purpose.
If you are interested, I am pleased to integrate faith into my clinical practice. I offer faith-based therapy that honors both emotional healing and spiritual growth. Whether you are wrestling with doubt, grief, or identity, I am here to help walk alongside you in your journey from feelings of brokenness to restoration. My goal is to help clients live more fully - anchored in truth and connected to the hope that never fails.
In group therapy, I create a safe, structured space where individuals can share, listen, and grow together. Whether we're exploring anxiety, grief, substance use, depression, or trauma, the group setting offers a unique opportunity for connection and healing. I guide each session with intention and help participants feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Group work reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, and that healing often happens in community. I have experience leading groups for depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, stress management and anger management.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their own reasons for change in a way that feels empowering and nonjudgmental. Whether we are addressing substance use, relational patterns, or faith stuckness, MI allows us to gently uncover ambivalence and build momentum toward healing. I listen with curiosity and compassion, helping clients reconnect with their values and take meaningful steps toward a life that reflects their deepest values, hopes, and intentions.
