As a Doctor of Psychology and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist for 45+ years, I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Crisis Counseling, Stress Reduction, Depression and Anxiety. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. I've dealt with my own grief, loss and growth by writing a book series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo," as well as "The Dog Bible for Humans - Advice from Dogs to Humans of All Ages." I hope you have an opportunity to read one of my books and that I get to help you, and someone you know.

If you’re reading this, it means you exist. Based on your religion, culture, or general belief, you may have a meaning for existence. However, no matter your meaning, one thing is clear - existence can be very challenging for us. There are many ways to cope with the challenges of existing, resulting in different experiences. Therapy is just one way to manage the challenges. Therapy There are many ways to approach therapy. One way I like to approach it is to view an individual as a system. In therapy then, we check the system to see what’s working well, what’s neutral, and what’s not going well. In doing this, the goal is to get an individual to admit the reality of things, not what the individual wants or hopes but the present true reality. It's important to identify and understand the reality of an individual because often there are significant fears and or unstable belief in the individual’s ability to manage challenges and get desired results. Lack of control – one of the foundational fears for us is the lack of control we seem to have over ourselves and others. How does one cope with seemingly so little control - from how one comes into existence to how will my friend react if I said no. Whether you’re a veteran in going to therapy or trying it for the first time, we will work as a team to see if we can get you to be how you want to be given the infinite things that are not in your control.

Hi, my name is Craig. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess "something" isn't OK. That "something" may be new or it may have been around for quite some time. You might be able to describe that "something" perfectly or maybe you don't know what that "something" is, but you know you are just feeling "off". Maybe you are familiar with therapy, or maybe this is the first time considering it. The only thing that matters at this moment is that you are taking that first step. I start from where you are at and work with you from there. No assumptions, judgements, or "one size fits all" approaches. Just a desire to understand you, your needs and your goals for therapy. Therapy is a different experience for everyone. I understand that and we will work together in addressing whatever has led you to taking this first step.

Welcome to my (safe) space!!! I'm a bit of a Fred Roger's enthusiast, so let me start by saying thank you for being you!! My most important value is to treat people with love and respect, no matter their background, no matter their circumstances!! I believe we all deserve it!!! My name is Jose-Santos Xavier Orozco, feel free to call me whatever makes you comfortable!!! Life to me is about being flexible, or like Bruce Lee said, like water, being able to bend and reshape whenever needed, while maintaining strength and purpose!!! I am a 36 year old male therapist who was born in SF and raised in Los Angeles! My early years were spent in the foster care system until I was placed into a permanent family at the age of 6. I am of mixed Ethnic background and have experienced culture/ identity difficulties since as long as I can remember. Life has naturally brought me to get a degree in Social work and work in this field. I would definitely consider myself a wounded warrior, although I feel like my injuries have been pretty well tended to by now. Learning to accept and love yourself has been my greatest achievement (on-going achievement) and I promise that when you get there too, it can be yours as well!!! I prefer working with ADULT population; I have very limited experience working with kids. Thank you

Bienvenidxs! my name is Jennifer Vazquez, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #138920 based in California. I identify as a Mexican-American Latina, homebody, and introvert among other things. When I’m not in session, I am reading a book, binging on a show, moving my body through strength training, yoga, or going on a walk, and spending quality time with those I care about. During sessions, I do my best to provide a space where clients feel seen and heard. My practice is focused on women who are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, imposter syndrome, stress, codependency, and relationship issues. I work collaboratively with my clients on deepening their awareness through the use of somatic techniques, mindfulness, and reflective activities. We will work on identifying supports and building on useful coping skills as we work through generational trauma and learn boundary-setting, communication skills, and managing emotions. My primary focus is on building a solid relationship with you, my client, to provide such a space where you can feel comfortable enough to show up raw and authentic. I believe that growth happens when we dig deep into the mind, body, and soul. The journey toward healing is not always comfortable, but I am here to hold space for you and meet you where you are. We will work together to create practices and tools that you might need in and out of sessions.
