(she/her)
My dream client is a high-functioning woman who appears to be managing it all—but inside, she’s carrying the weight of anxiety, pressure, and deep emotional overwhelm. She might be navigating a major life transition like divorce, a career pivot, motherhood, fertility challenges, or menopause. She may be successful on paper yet struggling to maintain boundaries, meet others’ expectations, or feel truly connected to herself. She could be facing workplace discrimination, identity shifts, or silently asking, “When is it my turn to exhale?” I work best with women who are insightful, motivated for change, and ready to explore the roots of their stress—not just cope, but understand. Using an integrative blend of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy, I offer a collaborative, empowering space where clients can slow down, reflect, and build tools for realignment—emotionally, mentally, and authentically.
IN our first session, we will begin to get to know one another and please note that this will be a safe , non-judgemental place for you . I believe that it is important to do a thorough psychosocial evaluation and to hear what you would like to accomplish in our time together. I will start where you are as this is your time . I also welcome any questions that you may have for me.
My niche is in women's issues. I am here to help women deal with the bombardment of stressors placed upon women. My biggest strength is that I have nearly 30 years of practice in different arenas and that I am authentic and will be there with you one step at a time. Moreover, I look at the whole person and help you to augment your understanding of what is working for you and what changes you want to make to move toward living your best life. I am a strong advocate of mental health and the destigmatization of populations that are discriminated upon. Hi, I’m a licensed clinician with nearly 30 years of experience specializing in women’s mental health across the lifespan. My work centers around high-functioning, high-achieving women who are outwardly successful yet inwardly carrying deep emotional stress. Many of the women I support are navigating the intense pressure of demanding careers, balancing leadership roles with home life, and becoming new parents or while silently struggling with discrimination, workplace harassment, and the unrelenting expectation to “do it all.” They often carry the weight of perfectionism and emotional labor, all while appearing composed on the outside. I have a particular passion for helping women through the complex and often under-discussed emotional impact of menopause—from shifting hormones and body image to identity loss, anxiety, living for longevity, healthy diet and mood changes. I also work with women facing infertility, the emotional highs and lows of parenting, and the grief or confusion that can accompany life transitions like aging, empty nesting, or redefining purpose after decades of meeting everyone else's needs. In the course of my work, I’ve also supported women navigating toxic relationships, divorce and visitation issues (drawing on my experience at LA Dependency Court), and infidelity, as well as those sandwiched between the needs of aging parents and growing children. Using an integrative approach that blends CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy, I provide a space for women to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves—away from the noise of external demands and internal perfectionism. My goal is to help women find clarity, self-compassion, and resilience in every phase of their lives.
CBT is often most empirically proven to be most effective.I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and build healthier ways of thinking and behaving. It's a powerful, practical tool for real change.
I incorporate Motivational Interviewing to help people explore ambivalence, build self-motivation, and take ownership of their goals—at their pace, with compassion and clarity. The motivational interviewing approach holds that resolving this ambivalence can increase a person's motivation to change.
With DBT, I support clients in building skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthier relationships. It’s especially effective for intense emotions and interpersonal challenges.
I use a psychodynamic lens to explore unconscious patterns, early relationships, and inner conflicts—helping clients understand the roots of their struggles and find deeper emotional freedom.
