You've read the books. You have endlessly analyzed your sun, moon, and rising signs. Maybe you have even tried therapy before. And yet something still feels stuck, like there is a layer underneath the thinking that no amount of insight seems to reach. I'm Joanna, a licensed therapist in Long Beach, CA. I work with folks who are anxious, burned out, or carrying the weight of past experiences and are ready to try something that goes deeper than just talking about it. Using body-based techniques alongside conversation, I help people shift patterns they have been trying to change for years.

My name is Alex Wong, PsyD. I am a licensed psychologist in the state of California. As a therapist, I'm focused primarily on helping patients explore meaning in their lives so that they can stop auto-piloting, transform traumas, establish better relationships and lead happier lives. I’m a Southern-California native. Specifically, I’m Chinese-American, part of the Teo Chew community. Culturally, I’m Chinese-Vietnamese. My father is from Vietnam, a member of the Chinese diaspora that came to the USA as a refugee during wartime. My mother is from Shantou, China. I speak English, Teo Chew, Mandarin and Cantonese, my weakest language being Cantonese. My knowledge areas include depression, anxiety, serious mental illness, facility-based inpatient services, lgbtq issues, grief and loss and life transition issues. I’ve worked with patients experiencing these issues, attended trainings on these topics, facilitated related groups, but there is always more to learn. I work on a sliding scale, so we can have a conversation about my fee at the point of contact.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of mental health and relationships. For the past decade, I have worked in a jail setting, where I have gained invaluable experience in crisis management. My work in this challenging environment has honed my skills in de-escalation and conflict resolution, and has taught me the importance of compassion and empathy in even the most difficult of situations. In addition to my work in the jail system, I have also maintained a thriving private practice, where I take an eclectic approach to therapy.

Exhausted by the way you think about yourself? We are often (if not always) our own worst enemies. Whether this pattern has caused you problems with guilt, shame, anxiety, depression, addiction or you name it - the starting point is generally the same. When we embark on the project of therapy you will be asked to put your painful thoughts and feelings into words. As the process unfolds, the strength and fervor used to overthink and condemn yourself will become accessible to use productively in reaching your goals.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I help adults and couples navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I believe growth requires both empathy and action, so don't be surprised if you leave our sessions with practical tools, reflection exercises, or homework to continue your healing between appointments. My background spans clinical social work, crisis intervention, nonprofit leadership, community mental health, advocacy, program development, and systems change. Because of this, I understand that healing isn't just about changing your thoughts—it's also about understanding your environment, your relationships, and the systems that have shaped your experiences. Hello I'm Sonja — a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in California. My path to this work wasn't a straight line and I think that makes me a better clinician. I started with a career in corrections in Arkansas, where I learned early on how to connect with people in difficult circumstances without judgment. That experience shaped how I show up in the therapy room to this day. I transitioned into mental health as a psychiatric technician, working directly with all age groups across inpatient and community settings; providing direct care, facilitating group therapy, and delivering individual therapy during my internship and later as a registered clinician with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. By the time I became fully licensed, I had accumulated nearly a decade of real-world clinical experience across some of the most demanding settings in behavioral health..

Welcome to my (safe) space!!! I'm a bit of a Fred Roger's enthusiast, so let me start by saying thank you for being you!! My most important value is to treat people with love and respect, no matter their background, no matter their circumstances!! I believe we all deserve it!!! My name is Jose-Santos Xavier Orozco, feel free to call me whatever makes you comfortable!!! Life to me is about being flexible, or like Bruce Lee said, like water, being able to bend and reshape whenever needed, while maintaining strength and purpose!!! I am a 36 year old male therapist who was born in SF and raised in Los Angeles! My early years were spent in the foster care system until I was placed into a permanent family at the age of 6. I am of mixed Ethnic background and have experienced culture/ identity difficulties since as long as I can remember. Life has naturally brought me to get a degree in Social work and work in this field. I would definitely consider myself a wounded warrior, although I feel like my injuries have been pretty well tended to by now. Learning to accept and love yourself has been my greatest achievement (on-going achievement) and I promise that when you get there too, it can be yours as well!!! I prefer working with ADULT population; I have very limited experience working with kids. Thank you

Hi There. My name is Mimi. I am a licensed Psychotherapist. I am here to help you grow, identify and resolve emotional and psychological obstacles that are preventing you from achieving the quality of life you deserve and desire. My integrative approach to therapy combines a variety of techniques to accommodate different individual needs to assist you in making choices that will help you achieve a fuller and happier life in a non judgmental, compassionate, warm, and safe environment where you will be heard and accepted. However, as we walk together, your life will begin to have the purpose you are seeking and deserve as you let go of old emotions and experiences. Taking the first step to self understanding can be intimidating and it takes courage to embark on a journey for change where you will be in control of your life and to all issues overwhelming you with anxious feelings and overwhelming thoughts. You are not alone, you can do it, and I will support you all the way as we work together!

Hi! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Gallaudet University. I am fluent in American Sign Language. I would describe my own as warm, caring, non-judgmental, compassionate, sensitive, respectful, knowledgeable, experienced and committed. I’ve been using CBT in my practice. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life

If you're dealing with depression or anxiety, or situations in your life that you're not happy with, first of all, you're not alone. Lots of people are dealing with hard times now, and it's affecting how lots of us feel, work, and engage with our relationships. But you should know that most problems can be dealt with effectively -- sometimes all we need is a little help. I'm good at providing that kind of help. I usually work with clients on core issues, foundations of well-being, like self esteem, codependency, self assertion, and also, how do they do with relationships? What's going on with work? Are there family issues? Is there solid self esteem there? Most of my clients come in feeling very uncertain about what their next steps are, and most often, they tell me that feelings of sadness, or worry, are definitely in their way. I've been helping people heal and grow for over 20 years, and what I hear back from clients is that I'm honest, smart, kind, and that I don't waste their time. The work we do together is not just about soothing and comforting, but also, and more directly about problem solving: if you're unhappy, what do you need in order for that to change? And what are all your needs, anyway? Are you even sure of how you need your life to be? I'd like to help you find the answers to those questions. And if you're in a relationship, getting over one, or hoping to find a new one, I do a lot of work with people who are dealing with that, too. I hope I can help you feel better, and get your needs met in life. Because there's nothing that matters more.

My Approach is non judge mental and client centered. I am passionate about helping others grow through mental health and realize that life can be challenging and creating change can be difficult. I have been providing individuals with mental health treatment for 10 years and find my clinical strength is with individuals who struggle with thinking patterns, anxiety, depression, anger, parenting, and marriage discourse. I focus a lot on thinking patterns, emotions, behaviors and their connections as well as building insight and awareness into thoughts and behaviors that create barriers in life or sustain challenges. I utilize CBT, DBT, EFT, SF, and Narrative therapy for the most part and also focus on the nervous system/polyvagal to assist with calming the body and rewiring what it has learned through distress. My objective is to create an atmosphere of acceptance, understanding, and to allow clients to feel safe while processing their thoughts and feelings while gently providing psycho education and techniques to assist.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. Originally from Taiwan, I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals and communities, including children and families, adolescents, transitional-age youth, young adults, older adults, men, women, couples, LGBTQ+ individuals, and justice-involved populations. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. I understand that our cultural backgrounds, family experiences, and life circumstances can shape who we are and influence the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. My clinical experience has given me a broad understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life. I strive to create a respectful and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. In today's fast-paced world, many people find themselves overwhelmed by daily responsibilities and may be disconnected from what brings meaning and fulfillment to their lives. It is common to push aside difficult thoughts and emotions simply to get through the day. Over time, however, this can leave us feeling stuck, isolated, or uncertain about how to move forward. I want to assure you that it is okay to reach out and talk it out. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, experiencing relationship difficulties, seeking greater self-understanding, or simply looking for a safe space to process your experiences, therapy can provide an opportunity to gain insight and perspective. My approach is direct yet empathic, collaborative, and solution-focused, while remaining grounded in genuine compassion and practical feedback. Together, I can help you explore the challenges you are facing, identify patterns that may be holding you back, build upon your strengths, and work toward meaningful, positive, and lasting change.
