Lital Shvarts
I specialize in anxiety, trauma and Complex PTSD, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and an attachment-based approach, I help adults understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, process difficult emotions, and develop a greater sense of emotional security. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Together, we work toward meaningful change, stronger relationships, and a deeper connection with yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy—I invite you to come as you are.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity for me to understand what brings you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope will change. There is no expectation that you share everything at once. We will begin at a pace that feels comfortable for you while exploring your current concerns, important relationships, and relevant experiences. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together toward your goals.
Strengths
I bring warmth, compassion, curiosity, and many years of clinical experience to my sessions. I look beyond symptoms to help clients understand the emotions, attachment patterns, and past experiences that may be shaping their lives and relationships today. My style is supportive and collaborative, while also helping you gently explore patterns that may no longer be serving you. I have a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, parenting, relationships, and major life transitions. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to create deeper, lasting change.
Ideal clients
My ideal client may be struggling with anxiety, trauma or Complex PTSD, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition. They may recognize patterns that keep repeating in relationships or feel affected by painful past experiences. I also have a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, parenting, and other life transitions. As a Jewish therapist, I also welcome Jewish clients who value working with someone who understands the cultural, historical, and family experiences that can be meaningful within Jewish life, including concerns related to identity, intergenerational trauma, relationships, and antisemitism. My clients are often looking not only for symptom relief, but for a deeper understanding of themselves, healthier relationships, and meaningful, lasting change.
Treatment methods
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you better understand the emotions and relationship patterns beneath the struggles that bring you to therapy. Together, we explore how past experiences and important relationships may influence the way you respond to yourself and others today. Rather than simply managing symptoms, we work toward creating new emotional experiences, healthier patterns, and a greater sense of security and connection. I provide a warm and supportive space where you can explore difficult emotions at a pace that feels comfortable and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
