I am a down-to-earth and collaborative therapist who believes that the foundation of effective healing is a genuine, honest connection. I prioritize creating a transparent environment where you feel heard and respected, allowing us to work as true partners in your mental health journey. My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy is most effective when it is practical, straightforward, and focused on your unique reality. In our sessions, I value honesty and the identification of healthy, realistic goals. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we work together to uncover the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying irrational thinking patterns and challenging negative self-talk, we can begin to reframe your narrative in a way that serves your growth rather than hindering it. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a significant step, which is why I focus on providing a non-judgmental space where we can tackle challenges at your pace. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, daily stress, or life transitions, my goal is to provide you with a functional toolkit of strategies you can use long after our sessions end. Together, we will move toward a more balanced, resilient, and fulfilling life.

Hello, I am Kathleen. Do you feel overwhelmed, burnt out or pulled in a million different directions? Are you struggling with your relationships, work or health? Is it difficult for you to find time for yourself, let alone, be kind to yourself? Do you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward? Many of us are experiencing loneliness, depression, anxiety and social isolation, so it is important to make caring for yourself a priority. Therapy can help you feel more connected, balanced and peaceful. Together, we can help identify what is not working and regain a sense of balance. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your body, mind and spirit. We will develop a "toolbox" of coping skills and create new insights and awarenesses to help you become a happier and healthier version of yourself. Seeking therapy can feel threatening but it's one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and by doing so also give to others. In our sessions, I will meet you with kindness, compassion, humor and evidence-based modalities, so you can overcome obstacles and habits that may be holding you back. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and empathic environment in which to work through current issues, conflicting relationships and/or past pain. I look forward to meeting you and working together.

If you are a client of Kaiser Permanente, it is necessary to obtain a referral from Kaiser before proceeding. Once you have received the referral, Kaiser will provide you with a link to schedule a session with me. I specialize in helping individuals as they navigate grief, anxiety, depression, anger, relationship challenges, and behavioral concerns. I understand that these struggles are not just diagnoses—they are lived experiences that can quietly shape how you see yourself, how you connect with others, and how you move through your day. Anxiety can feel like a constant hum in the background—keeping you on edge, overthinking, and emotionally worn down. Many people carry it for years without realizing how much it’s impacting their relationships and sense of peace. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep managing it by yourself. Depression is often misunderstood because it doesn’t always look like sadness. Sometimes it feels like exhaustion, numbness, irritability, or simply going through the motions without feeling connected to your life. It can make even the smallest tasks feel heavy. But depression is treatable, and with the right support, it is possible to feel like yourself again. In our work together, I offer a space where you can be seen, heard, and understood—without judgment. My goal is not only to help you cope, but to help you reconnect with yourself, find clarity in what you’re feeling, and build a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and yours.

We are all faced with challenges. These challenges can create limitations that interfere with gaining a sense of self, forming healthy relationships, and pursuing our goals. I believe we should not allow these obstacles to dictate how we respond to the environment around us. Learning healthy coping skills, challenging negative self talk, and setting effective boundaries can facilitate desired outcomes in our daily life. Given the opportunity, I would enjoy working with you right where you are. Let’s get to work!

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I'm genuine, approachable, and easy to talk to. I believe healing happens through authentic human connection, so I bring warmth, humor, curiosity, and compassion into every session. I frequently use metaphors, storytelling, and practical examples to help make difficult concepts easier to understand and create meaningful change. My experience has taught me that every person's story is unique. I don't simply treat symptoms—I work to understand the whole person, including how childhood experiences, relationships, trauma, and the nervous system continue to shape life today. I have extensive experience treating PTSD, complex trauma, and traumatic brain injury (TBI), and I also bring personal insight into the recovery process from TBI. Additionally, I am both personally and professionally familiar with the challenges faced by Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and individuals raised in dysfunctional families. I understand the lifelong impact these experiences can have on self-worth, relationships, boundaries, and emotional well-being, as well as the work required to heal the wounded inner child while building a peaceful, authentic adult life. I believe therapy should be both supportive and transformative. I will meet you with compassion, but I will also encourage you to do the work that creates lasting change. My clients often describe me as part therapist, part coach, and part cheerleader—I celebrate your successes, help you navigate setbacks, and gently challenge you when old patterns keep you stuck. My goal is to create a safe, trusting relationship where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to move forward with confidence.

Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted—not because they're weak, but because they've spent years taking care of everyone else while losing touch with themselves. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, family stress, or repeating the same painful patterns, therapy can help you understand not only what is happening, but why it keeps happening. With more than 20 years of experience, I help adults gain clarity, recognize the patterns influencing their lives, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. I believe insight is important, but lasting change happens when insight is paired with meaningful action. Together, we'll explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, identify what's keeping you stuck, and develop skills that help you move forward with greater confidence, stronger boundaries, and relationships that feel more authentic and fulfilling.

I utilize a positive theoretical orientation which assumes that all individuals possess an innate desire for well-balanced emotional/mental health. I believe a person enters therapy with a strong wish, whether conscious or unconscious, to overcome obstacles and free themselves from constraints that are holding them back. I find that everyone needs a slightly different approach to accomplish these goals, so I adjust in technique for each specific challenge. I truly enjoy the experience of guiding my clients through this process and consider it a privilege to play such an important role in a person's life. “Crying does not indicate that you are weak. Welcome to my (safe) space!!! I'm a bit of a Fred Roger's enthusiast, so let me start by saying thank you for being you!! My most important value is to treat people with love and respect, no matter their background, no matter their circumstances!! I believe we all deserve it!!! My name is Jose-Santos Xavier Orozco, feel free to call me whatever makes you comfortable!!! Life to me is about being flexible, or like Bruce Lee said, like water, being able to bend and reshape whenever needed, while maintaining strength and purpose!!! I am a 36 year old male therapist who was born in SF and raised in Los Angeles! My early years were spent in the foster care system until I was placed into a permanent family at the age of 6. I am of mixed Ethnic background and have experienced culture/ identity difficulties since as long as I can remember. Life has naturally brought me to get a degree in Social work and work in this field. I would definitely consider myself a wounded warrior, although I feel like my injuries have been pretty well tended to by now. Learning to accept and love yourself has been my greatest achievement (on-going achievement) and I promise that when you get there too, it can be yours as well!!! I prefer working with ADULT population; I have very limited experience working with kids. Thank you

Many of the individuals and couples I work with are at a crossroads—frustrated, sometimes burnt out, and seeking practical, workable strategies for change. Therapy offers a dedicated, supportive space to identify obstacles and map a path toward meaningful personal growth. With over 15 years of experience across healthcare, restorative justice, and outpatient settings, I provide telehealth therapy at Grow for adults and couples. My practice focuses on: *Chronic Pain & Complex Medical Issues *Anxiety & Phobias *Fertility & Family Building Support *LGBTQ+ & Gender-Affirming Care *Eating Disorder/Substance Use Step-Down Maintenance: Supporting ongoing recovery from substance use or eating disorders following higher levels of care. *Couples Therapy: Improving communication and relational dynamics (clinical outpatient focus only). Practice Boundaries & Administrative Policies To maintain a clear focus on clinical care, please review the following scope boundaries: *Legal & Forensic Services: I do not provide forensic evaluations, court-ordered treatment, litigation support, or expert witness testimony for legal proceedings, divorce, or custody disputes. *Disability & Administrative Paperwork: I do not perform disability evaluations or complete short/long-term disability claims; I do not write Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters. *Telehealth & Medical Requirements: Virtual therapy for chronic pain, ARFID, or medical distress serves strictly as a complementary psychological service. Because virtual care lacks physical monitoring: A. Clients with ARFID or eating disorders must maintain ongoing care with an in-person physician for routine medical safety. B. Clients seeking pain reprocessing or somatic therapy must have their pain evaluated by a physician. ******If medical or psychiatric needs exceed virtual outpatient scope, I will assist with referrals to local in-person providers**************

Reaching out for help can be a very vulnerable experience, but also a great attribute of strength and resilience. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their life. Whether it's from childhood neglect, sexual assault, natural disaster, sudden death or other life circumstances. Trauma often creates patterns and loops that extend into many areas of a person's life, and can be challenging and painful to navigate. Sometimes the way people survive their trauma brings them more pain, adds to the chaos, and reinforces negative beliefs that perpetuate the cycle. I work to empower clients to understand and alter unhealthy cycles to strengthen and better their lives. I am fluent in ASL American Sign Language and have worked with Deaf clients leaving domestic violence in both a shelter and outpatient therapy services. I have spent 2 years in correctional settings working with severely mentally ill patients and supporting their family members navigating having children with mental illness. I have also spent 2 years working with foster youth and foster parents in providing support to their placements, promoting healing and preserving relationships. Note that online scheduling is limited. Broader scheduling options will be available to regularly scheduling clients. I suffer from PTSD and my journey into therapy began with years of denial. As all heroes do I refused the call. Then I started helping others - the immigrant, the unhoused, the addicted - and I saw the beauty of human resilience. I discovered the capacity for compassion, healing, and evolution in others as well as myself. I fully believe therapy has the power to not only help people survive but to thrive.
