Welcome, my name is Rashel, and I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health and addiction fields. I use a variety of modalities to get you the best version of yourself that you can be. I am CPT, DBT and CBT trained which allows me to be a short-term solution focused therapist, while using a variety of modalities and techniques to help make changes in your life. My specialty is working with those with addictions as well as a variety of mental health struggles.
Our first session is an informational session so that I can learn what you want in therapy. My job is to listen and come up with a plan that is attainable so that you can be successful in your counseling sessions with me. I am currently scheduling in person and virtual. Message me directly for additional apt availability.
I have been in the counseling field for many years. I enjoy working with people and help them be the best version of themselves. I am empathetic and believe in change, motivation and taking a risk in therapy. If it weren't for risks, you wouldn't be looking into therapy.
I enjoy working with clients that are motivated for change. I am a therapist who provides homework so you can work on yourself outside of the therapeutic apts. My specialty is addiction and I enjoy working with those who have a variety of mental health struggles. My years of experience allows me to serve everyone from adolescents to military veterans.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been using and helping clients reach their goals with this treatment modality. This is a thought changing technique that will help with most anxiety and depressive symptoms. When using this technique, it is important that you work on changing your thoughts outside of the therapeutic alliance.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have been certified in DBT for many years. This modality is especially useful with depression, suicidal and people who experience distress tolerance. If you experience challenges regulating your emotions this skill is helpful to practice and use, to get you on the road to emotion management.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I am a solution focused therapist who believes if treated correctly, therapy will not last many years. Trying a variety of ways to help solve the problems as well as being an empathetic listening goes hand in hand with this technique.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
CPT is a specialized treatment for those who struggle with trauma. CPT is a trauma-focused therapy that helps patients identify and modify maladaptive beliefs and thought patterns stemming from traumatic experiences, such as child abuse, combat, sexual assault, or natural disasters. It is recognized as a first-line treatment for PTSD by the American Psychological Association and is endorsed by the U.S. Departments of Veterans Affairs and Defense

Rashel was very mindful in our conversation and quickly grasped an understanding of my situation and perspective. She knew what to ask, what I needed to hear both in the short-term and long-term, and gave me some thoughtful exercises to consider moving forward. The conversation felt authentic and warm.
