Hello. My name is Deborah. I live in California , where I received my masters degree in social work. I worked in Medical Social work for 14 years. During that time, I had the opportunity to assist clients and families during their times of crisis, stress, transition and loss. At Grow, I see adults and seniors. I appreciate that I can assist clients in times when they need support.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My goal is to provide a safe space for my clients. I want clients to know that there is no judgement, but there there will be plenty of compassion, empathy and understanding. I want to know your goal in therapy, your expectations. From there, I will gather your history and current symptoms, and details of the challenges you are facing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Providing active listening, validation, and empathy. the client. Believing in the client. Reminding a client of their strengths, that they can get through it.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with older adults as they face transitions in their lives. Clients may not have had the guidance early on on how to manage their feelings or express them. In addition, some are not aware of how to manage life's stressors. Clients who are going through grief because of a loss. My experience includes assisting those who are going through a loss of a loved one to death, a loss of a job, friendship, partner or loss of health.
