Each of us has our own story and sometimes our experiences leaves us feeling confused, frightened, sad, and often tremendously isolated. I believe therapy can unravel harmful repetitive thought processes and behaviors. Your painful experiences do not have to define you. My approach to therapy always starts with listening to my client's needs. My methods evolve through constant customization and mutual collaboration. Therapy with me will include exploring aspects of life that are not working well and constructing solutions.

Hi there, I'm Gut (Goot)! Thanks for looking at my profile, "the journey of 1000 miles begins with one step". I am a Veteran looking to assist others with their own "1000" mile journey. My approach I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist individuals on their perspective journeys. I utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy primarily with couples. My focus I have found that my style and approach work well with individuals who prefer a straightforward, assertive approach. My communication style is assertive, direct, with a curious undertone to solicit perspective. My journey in mental healthcare I wanted to assist with preventing Veteran suicides. I help people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental disorders. I help them further develop their mindfulness, assertive communication skills, and capacity for love & respect for themselves, and, consequently, the rest of the world. I don't merely believe in therapy, I know first-hand the beneficial power it can provide. Before seeking mental health services for myself, I not only suffered from low self-esteem, I also experienced severe panic attacks. I am, and forever will be, grateful each and every day that those symptoms now only exist in my past. These are just a few of the reasons why mental health is by far my greatest passion in life.

I have worked with an array of different populations prior to becoming a therapist as I was actively involved with community health organizations, psychiatric hospitals, foster care facilities, domestic violence group homes, adult day care facilities, and crisis and text lines. Through this array of different experiences, I was given the opportunity to explore a wide array of populations and mental health disorders. Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support—whether for yourself or your child—can feel overwhelming. My hope is that from the very first conversation, you feel heard, understood, and not alone. For more than 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adolescents, women, and families as they navigate some of life’s most tender and challenging seasons. I specialize in adolescent mental health and maternal mental health, working with teens facing stress, school pressure, anger, friendship struggles, and identity development, as well as women moving through pregnancy, postpartum changes, motherhood transitions, and shifting family roles. The teenage years and the journey into motherhood both bring profound change. They can be beautiful—and also exhausting, confusing, and isolating. I strive to create a space where clients can show up exactly as they are: overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, hopeful, or all of the above. You don’t have to have the “right words.” You just have to show up. Before becoming a counselor, I spent many years as a Division I athlete and coach. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of pressure, performance expectations, resilience, and what it feels like to carry the weight of high standards—whether they come from others or from within. I connect especially well with teens who are driven, competitive, sensitive, or feel misunderstood, and with mothers who are juggling more than anyone sees. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside, my master’s degree from the University at Buffalo in New York, and completed my counseling credential at California State University, San Bernardino. While my education provided the clinical tools to do this work, the greatest lessons have come from the adolescents and mothers who have trusted me with their stories.

Is this the first time you thinking about having therapy? Let's talk about what therapy is and is not. Tell me your expectations. Therapy is in part, talking about how you are feeling whether you have depression, anxiety, or feel overwhelmed by your work, family or relationships or by all three . But that is just the beginning. My name is Judith Copeland, I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I want to help you achieve the positive changes would you like to see in your life. Do you feel you cannot cope, have no self-esteem or don’t even know what will make you happy? Together we will uncover your strengths and you will learn the skills you need to better manage your emotions. I use several treatment methods including, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Integrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to tailor your care to your specific needs. We will explore what is holding you back from achieving your goals and help you heal from past traumas. You will learn how your negative beliefs influence your mood and get in the way of your happiness. Often, we forget that everything is connected. Mind, Body, and Spirit. We need to take care of ourselves physically, psychologically, and spiritually. We often don’t really understand how deeply connected they are to our well-being. I will help you learn that self-care is just as important and or even more important as everything else you do. We have within ourselves the ability to create the life we want and become the person we want to be. I would like to support you on this journey and look forward to meeting you.

As a licensed psychotherapist, I have become quite the encourager for reminding clients that mental health is absolutely a vital piece of the puzzle when considering overall well-being. Mental health and stability are so important, and I commend you for reaching out to take care of your mental health care needs. I have been seeing clients since 2018. I graduated from Antioch University, Los Angeles' LGBT Affirmative specialization and my focus is working with gay Latino men, or men who have sex with men. I am, however, open to working with anyone as therapy is not so much theory-based but relationship-based, so having a strong rapport with the client is always of utmost importance. In my personal life, some things I enjoy are traveling, (I want to see as much of the world as I possibly can) writing (I love the fantasy genre), going to the cinema (I love fantasy, mystery & film noir), exercising, and enjoying a nice meal with friends and family.

I have been in the psychology field for over 20 years now. I love what I do and helping every client become successful. The relationship between the client(s) and myself is important in achieving the goals we set together. How our past experiences have influenced our current lives is a key issue. I feel that support systems in our daily lives are important to examine. The issues of separation, loss, freedom, dependence and independence are crucial to examine as one leaves home and parental influences. I work with individuals, couples, teens and families. Every session is different because every client is different, as are their problems. I'll encourage you to talk and explore, in a structured way, your feelings and experiences. Whatever the technique or clinical approach, psychotherapy is not a magical cure, it is a process to help you find the capacity for improvement within yourself. Psychotherapy aims to help you gain insight into your difficulties or distress and enable you to find more appropriate ways of coping or bring about changes in your thinking and behavior. Psychotherapy involves exploring feelings, beliefs, thoughts and events, sometimes from childhood, in a structured way to help you do it safely. I have a website that has 16 courses on it for you to do self paced sessions. I also have book I wrote on that website. Hi, I'm Lupe. As a first-generation, Spanish-speaking therapist raised by immigrant parents, I understand how culture, family, and life experiences shape our mental health. I provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy for individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and life transitions, with a special focus on healing generational trauma. I believe healing begins with trust. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in active listening, authenticity, and compassion. I meet clients where they are, blending evidence-based practices with mindfulness while creating a space where humor, honesty, and genuine connection are welcome. I offer therapy in English and Spanish and enjoy working with Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed or ready to create lasting change, I'll support you in building resilience, healing, and a life that feels more authentic. Hola, soy Lupe. As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs including, but not limited to, first responders/medical professionals, educators and people going through life transitions. My areas of expertise are in Behavior Modification, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Risk Assessment, Trauma and Life Cycle adaptation. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and a Humanistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves. I like to use compassion, thoughtful questions, and guided self reflection because I think in counseling we should start wherever you are and work collaboratively as partners in your journey towards a better quality of life. It is not uncommon to have questions about a prospective therapist and best fit. I am open to any questions and it is my hope that we will make a great team and you will become that better version of yourself you're searching for.
