Hello and thank you for considering me in your wellness journey. My name is Cynthia Emenike and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 7 years of experience providing psychotherapy. My approach to our therapeutic relationship is to understand that every client is the expert to their own lives and I am just a tool to help navigate any areas of concern. I approach therapy with warmth, care, compassion, and non-judgment approach, adapting to the unique needs of each individual client.
In our first session together, we will introduce ourselves and address any expectation of therapy for both you and I. If all is well, we can beginning building establishing a therapeutic relationship and collaborate on any goals you have in therapy. Growth begins one session at a time!
Overall, my strengths as a therapist revolve around my empathetic nature and a collaborative approach. These qualities allow me to create a therapeutic environment conducive to fostering positive change and growth for my clients.
I work with all kinds of client in a theraputic setting that include but not limited to clients who are ready to do the "work" between sessions, and take ownership of their personal growth and outcomes. Also, I am capable of working with clients who want to address their past experiences, complex trauma, or relational issues who are seeking a safe, validating space to process pain at a manageable pace.

I am just a tool to help you navigate through some emotions, whether it is comfortable or uncomfortable. I have helped many clients throughout my years of experience identify and process their emotions and take it out of therapy and help implement their emotions positively in their everyday lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With experience in CBT, I provide a safe and encourging space for my clients to understand the connection between your thoughts, your beliefs and your actions. I am dedicated to helping my clients identify maladative thinking patterns to improve your emotional state of mine.
