Each of us has our own story and sometimes our experiences leaves us feeling confused, frightened, sad, and often tremendously isolated. I believe therapy can unravel harmful repetitive thought processes and behaviors. Your painful experiences do not have to define you.
My approach to therapy always starts with listening to my client's needs. My methods evolve through constant customization and mutual collaboration. Therapy with me will include exploring aspects of life that are not working well and constructing solutions.
Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), based in California. I received my MSSA in "Mental Health" from the Case Western Reserve University, and I have been practicing for the last ten years+. I help clients who are struggling with stress, anxiety and/or depression, heal and become the best versions of themselves. I also have extensive experience in working with adults who are survivors of domestic violence (DV), intimate partner violence (IPT), and those who are suffering from symptoms of PTSD. I also enjoy working with families who may be experiencing triangulation and communication difficulties. My preferred clinical approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness meditation embedded in DBT, Narrative Therapy, and psycho-dynamic therapy. Finally, I view my clients from a holistic perspective so that I can understand what barriers may be restricting you from experiencing true happiness in life.
Hi there, I am Joanna
Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions appear rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice is my goal to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change, this means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.
Hello, I am April Jordan and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained my Masters in Social Work from Cal State East Bay, Hayward, in 2005. I am a wife, mother of young children and understand the stressors linked with trying to balance life. I specialize in Women issues, Postpartum, anxiety,ADHD, depressive disorders, relationship stressors and career transitions. My Therapeutic approach is strength-based , solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy.
My Professional experience I have worked years in mental health, medical social work, family services and with the criminal justice system. I used to be a medical social worker in the ED. I am a therapist that likes to look at restoring you back to feeling better and providing you with real life therapeutic tools needed to get back to a sense of normalcy.
As a child I was always very sensitive and curious about the world that surrounded me. It came natural to help people and I knew that I wanted to give back to the world at large. Just like you I suffered from some childhood wounds. My parents did the best they could with the tools they had. But due to their struggles I became a very codependent child wanting to save and fix my parents to simply gain the love I desired.
Later on I would be able to understand this cycle and name some of the patterns I lived out. People pleasing, losing myself in toxic relationships and not fully loving that little girl inside of me. Once I became a LMFT and gained the knowledge and tools necessary I was not only able to break my own patterns, I was also able to help others find joy and deep meaning in their lives.
Ultimately I specialize in helping people understand their patterns and be more effective communicators in their world. My role has been a guide and coach for my clients, providing innovative approaches based on Gestalt Method, Ancient Forgiveness Techniques, Psychodynamic Therapy, NLP and Hypnosis. I use these techniques to help my clients break patterns, many of which are fear based as a result of early childhood trauma that causes emotional issues in the present. This is deep and powerful work, and is necessary to enable a positive path to desired future. I look forward to working with you and guiding you on the path to healing and freedom.
Hello, I am Luis Martinez and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I have been serving my community helping families and individuals for over 8 years. I am a psychologist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide teletherapy to adult individuals and couples residing in California. I work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem issues, chronic illness, LGBTQ issues, career concerns, life transitions, relationship issues with partners, family members, and parent/child conflict. My methods of therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radical Acceptance, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Directed Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Interpersonal (Talk) Therapy.
Over the past 16 years, I've worked across clinical and educational settings. My approach is integrative, drawing primarily on psychodynamic and somatic modalities and informed by current neuroscience research on emotion, memory, and attachment. I tailor my approach to what each client needs. I trust in people's innate capacity to heal, and I help clients explore their lives with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
It takes courage to accept and seek help and set out on your recovery journey. My focus in our work will be on meeting you where you are at and in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can collaborate and explore what can be helpful in addressing your needs, wants, and barriers to getting them met.
Together, we will challenge ourselves to show up authentically in relationship so we can examine the areas of your life that you would like support in. These areas can often include examining how systemic and cultural factors influence our perception of ourselves, others, and the world.
My hope in our work together is that you'll come away with a renewed sense of self and identity that not only addresses the hardships and challenges you have endured, but also empowers you to affirm your sense of agency, and make your mark on the world.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology and psychological assessment. I earned my doctorate from Loma Linda University and completed clinical training at several leading hospitals across Southern California. My work centers on how the brain, physical health, and emotional well-being shape one another, and I bring that lens to therapy with adults who want to understand what is driving their difficulties and make changes that last. I work with adults across the lifespan facing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and life transitions. My clinical interests include neurocognitive changes, ADHD, traumatic brain injury, neurological and medical conditions, and the complex relationship between cognitive functioning and emotional well-being. In practice, this often means helping clients adjust to a new diagnosis, cope with memory or attention concerns, chronic illness, or grief, and manage the strain of caregiving. My approach is integrative and goal-oriented. I draw on cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and humanistic therapies, matching the method to you rather than fitting you to one model.
You've been holding it together for so long. It's time to let someone else help carry the load.
Mood struggles don't just affect how you feel. They shape your work, your relationships, and how you show up for the people you love. You're doing your best to manage, without anyone showing you how.
You deserve relief. And the confidence to handle the hard days when they come.
Whether you're living with depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, or you're watching someone you love struggle, you've come to the right place.
I'm Amanda--a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual work with adults, parents, and caregivers. Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of people as they moved from survival mode to a life that actually feels like their own. I hold a Master's degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and I bring both the clinical depth of that training and the wisdom of real-world practice to every session.
My approach is collaborative and personalized — because you're not a diagnosis or a checklist, and therapy shouldn't feel like one. I'm a creative thinker by nature, and I use that to bring fresh perspectives to our work together, while also providing the structure and direction that meaningful progress requires. In our early sessions, we'll take time to understand what's really going on and build a clear, intentional plan that fits your life. Most of my clients notice a real, positive shift within the first month.
A steady, meaningful life isn't something other people get to have. It belongs to you, too. If you're ready to stop managing and start actually living, I'd love to connect.

Hi! I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LPCC) based in Berkeley CA and serving clients statewide via Telehealth. I have over 20 years of experience working and volunteering in community mental health, and have been practicing as a psychotherapist since January 2018. I received my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in 2019, and my BA in Psychology from Reed College in 2010. I have been licensed since February 2023.
I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist and work relationally and holistically. I believe all facets of life are (naturally) interrelated--relational, emotional, physical/physiological, cognitive, cultural, societal/political, spiritual, existential... I incorporate orientations, frameworks and insights from across the field: attachment-based (psychodynamic), somatic (Polyvagal, Somatic Experiencing, neuroscience), humanistic, mindfulness, gestalt, self-psychology, ACT, DBT, CBT, systems, existential, holistic/spiritual perspectives and wisdom like Buddhism, narrative, human needs perspectives like self-determination theory, communication frameworks like NVC and insights from the Gottmans, and paradigms and perspectives on social justice like feminism, analysis of power and privilege, intersectionality, intergenerational and societal trauma, psychological/emotional/verbal abuse, narcissism/scapegoating/othering etc.
I am guided by a trauma-informed approach that aims to foster empowering client-centered, collaborative, transparent and intersubjective relational conditions that I believe support people’s natural ability to experience safety, connection, and authentic actualization. My work is informed by a lifetime of deep inquiry into human needs and the complex ways familial, social, cultural, economic and biological contexts inform how they may be nurtured, supported, neglected or actively or insidiously contravened. I believe that human attachments and early life experiences, as well as structural power dynamics in social/societal systems, are typically foundationally informative to the bridge or gap between trauma/suffering and thriving in safety and connection. I think humanness and understanding of / respect for these facts, alone, can be a healing provision of therapy relationship.
I specialize in supporting individuals who carry the weight of trauma, identity-based stress, interpersonal relationship issues, and systemic injustice. My practice is grounded in cultural humility, affirming care, and a profound respect for each person’s unique lived experience. Whether you're exploring your gender identity, healing from relational harm, or navigating life in a world that often misunderstands you—I offer a space where your truth is honored and your healing is possible.
To help remove barriers to care, I offer evening (up to 8-9 PM) and weekend appointments (8 AM to 5 PM), recognizing that accessibility is essential—not optional. You deserve support that fits your life, not the other way around.
Unfortunately, I do not offer couples or family therapy.

Hi i am Aimee a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in the San Diego area. I enjoy working with 16 and up and specialize in LGBTQ+, prenatal and postpartum, women’s issues and grief issues.
I like to help see pregnant and new mom’s achieving the most out this time and find ways to feel less anxiety and depressed and more fulfilled.
For people in the LGBTQ+ community i have specialized in gender health issues since 2014 and have always been an ally.
During Covid I decided to increase my skill and knowledge with assisting people moving through grief and took a few seminars focusing on grief work with David Kessler.
I began my career working with youth and families in residential settings, where I saw firsthand the impact our experiences can have on how we move through the world. My own life experiences also shaped my path to becoming a therapist and taught me the importance of feeling seen, understood, and supported. Over the years, this has shaped an approach that looks at the whole person—their story, strengths, relationships, and the experiences that have made them who they are.
I’m a licensed professional counselor with 20 years of experience in community mental health settings. As a therapist and behavioral health practitioner, I have worked with complex trauma, psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring substance use. I have a masters degree in clinical psychology from the University of Amsterdam and lived in the Netherlands for six years. There, I also began building my family, and that international foundation shaped both how I think and how I work.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of life challenges — from anxiety, depression, and relationship patterns to identity, major transitions, and the quieter but persistent sense that something just isn’t working. This includes people working through faith transitions or untangling the psychological weight of a strict or high-control religious upbringing — something I understand not just clinically, but personally. Whether you’re in crisis or simply ready to understand yourself better, I meet people where they are.
My objective is to empower individuals and couples to better understand themselves, strengthen their resilience, and create more peaceful, fulfilling lives. I believe people already carry the capacity for growth and healing, and my work focuses on helping clients recognize, access, and trust their own strengths.
I offer a therapeutic space that is warm, honest, and down-to-earth. I am direct and transparent while remaining supportive and compassionate, and I show up authentically rather than relying on overly clinical language or rigid approaches. My work is collaborative and eclectic, drawing from a range of therapeutic tools based on each client’s needs, including EMDR. I work with individuals and couples to build insight, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change within the broader systems of family and society.
