(she/her)
As a Licensed Clinical social Worker with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in supporting adults and adolescents navigate challenges related to life transitions, medical conditions, trauma and career challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I work with you to empower you to build resilience and crate meaningful and sustainable change. I believe therapy should be safe, empowering space where you can explore your life experiences without judgement; therapy is a brave step; I am here to collaborate with you in your journey.
The first sessions will be all about you, getting to know you, the reason for seeking therapy, your background, your goals and how I work. A clear understanding of confidentiality and professionalism and a space that centers around your values and strengths with the right pace for you.
I am a seasoned medical social worker with over 20 years of experience supporting patients and families through complex health challenges. With my PhD in Leadership Studies, I bring a systems-level perspective to clinical practice, blending compassionate, culturally responsive care with strategic advocacy and interdisciplinary collaboration. My strengths lie in clinical judgement, building trust and engagement, empathic communication, and support families through complex decision making. I am able to work effectively across cultures and communities, and build effective bridges across systems of care.
With a background in medical social work, and a PhD in Leadership Studies I am in a position to support clients who are facing complex health challenges while also navigating systems, transitions, or leadership roles. Adults facing chronic or complex health issues, caregivers in need of guidance and support, leaders facing burnout, ethical dilemmas, specially when personal health or family caregiving is involved and clients dealing with navigating life transitions: retirement, disability, loss of independence due to health concerns who need both emotional support and strategic guidance.
Therapy is a partnership between patient and clinician, where you as the patient drives the progress and attainment of your goals by seeking within you the reasons for your desire for change. Empowering you will be a focus our work together.
