I prefer the one-on-one relationship that working in individual psychotherapy provides. My philosophy is that the bond that I build with you is the most important aspect of your journey. If you are able to trust me at a time when you are most vulnerable then I am succeeding. My approach is to collaborate with you and develop a treatment plan and therapeutic style that is right for you. All of my clients are unique, and I feel that your therapeutic voyage should reflect that. You may also come to me looking for a specific type or style of therapy which can help us guide your sessions in a particular direction. Ultimately, this is your journey, and you get to decide where we go and how we get there.
During our first session I will answer any questions you may have about me or my process. We will spend the majority of the session talking about you so that I can get a complete picture in order to develop a specific treatment plan for you.
I have been working in mental health for 15 years which has helped me develop a keen eye for asking questions that make you think. I also believe that I have a wide variety of lived experience that I can apply to my clients.
I love working with women of any age who are at a crossroads and looking to find their strength. Women with the desire to discover who they are and how they can be a better human. Women who want real relationship, growth, and joy in their lives.
Throughout my career I have come to realize that there is no one method of treatment that works for all of my clients. I draw from ACT, DBT, Trauma Informed, Feminist, Mindfulness, and attachment based therapies. I have 15 years of experience treating clients from a wide range of backgrounds including the homeless population to the privately insured in various settings such as, residential crisis facilities, private practice, and community-based clinics. Because I several different modalities to draw from this helps me customize a treatment plan that is specific to each client.
