What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will simply get to know each other (e.g. what to expect from therapy/your expectations from therapy; treatment history; likes/dislikes of therapy, etc.) - this will ensure this is truly a good working relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider is meeting people where they are! This means, as a therapist, I will approach our sessions at your pace. Remember: This is your life and you are in the driving seat!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This treatment modality is used to identify unhealthy thinking patterns disrupting the client's ability to think about a situation in a healthier way. Additional treatment modalities used as an extension of CBT are Cognitive Processing and CBT- Suicide Prevention.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This treatment modality is used to assist those with suffering with personality D/Os and suicidal behaviors. There are a series of techniques used taught to strategically identify and treat unhealthy coping skills, as well as maladaptive behaviors.

Motivational Interviewing

This treatment modality is used to empower the individual to utilize their innate strengths to solve current problems in their lives. Through a series of techniques, the client will be empowered to use their internal strengths to resolve life issues.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This treatment modality is often used in junction with other treatment modalities. However, Mindfulness as a practice, helps to center the individual and become more aware of thoughts, feelings, and surroundings.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This treatment modality is a short-term treatment used to focus on an individuals innate strengths to solve current/future problems rather than focusing on the barriers/obstacles.
