Exhausted by the way you think about yourself? We are often (if not always) our own worst enemies. Whether this pattern has caused you problems with guilt, shame, anxiety, depression, addiction or you name it - the starting point is generally the same. When we embark on the project of therapy you will be asked to put your painful thoughts and feelings into words. As the process unfolds, the strength and fervor used to overthink and condemn yourself will become accessible to use productively in reaching your goals.

Personal discovery and growth are one of life's greatest challenges but also provide one of life's greatest rewards. I have been a Marriage Family Therapist for the past 12 years. Empathy, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard are key to establishing that trust. I specialize in anxiety, depression, coping skills, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and women's issues, which are a few symptoms I specialize in. During my time as a therapist, I've worked with children, adolescents and adults. I believe that therapy is beneficial by targeting underlying concerns that are causing stressful situations and maladaptive behaviors. Through active listening, empathy, and non-judgmental standpoints, my objective is for positive change to occur.

We are all faced with challenges. These challenges can create limitations that interfere with gaining a sense of self, forming healthy relationships, and pursuing our goals. I believe we should not allow these obstacles to dictate how we respond to the environment around us. Learning healthy coping skills, challenging negative self talk, and setting effective boundaries can facilitate desired outcomes in our daily life. Given the opportunity, I would enjoy working with you right where you are. Let’s get to work!

Tired of Feeling Stuck? Let's Find a Way Forward. You're doing your best to hold everything together, but anxiety, overthinking, and worry keep getting in the way. You're exhausted from feeling stuck in the same patterns, struggling to quiet your mind, or pretending you're okay when you're not. Maybe you're feeling disconnected from the people you love or wondering when life will start to feel good again. You want more than temporary relief—you want lasting change, greater confidence, and the freedom to enjoy your life again. I'm Tammy Brooks, LMFT, a Level 3 Certified Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) practitioner. I help adults move beyond feeling stuck by focusing on their strengths, hopes, and the changes they want to make. Rather than spending session after session rehashing what's gone wrong, we'll work together to discover new possibilities and practical steps toward the life you want to live. You don't have to keep navigating everything on your own. If you're ready for a different approach and want to begin moving toward greater peace, joy, and connection, I'd welcome the opportunity to work with you. Let's explore what's possible together.

Therapy for High-Functioning Adults Navigating ADHD, Trauma, Anxiety, and Relationship Distress You may appear capable, accomplished, and composed while privately feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unable to quiet your mind. Perhaps you are successful in many areas of life but struggle with anxiety, ADHD-related difficulties, trauma responses, relationship conflict, or a persistent sense that you are not functioning as well as others believe. I work with high-functioning adults and couples who are insightful and motivated but continue to feel stuck in patterns they cannot simply think their way out of. You may understand why you react the way you do and still find yourself becoming anxious, shutting down, overthinking, procrastinating, losing focus, becoming emotionally flooded, or repeating the same painful relationship dynamics. Who I Help I work with adults experiencing: ADHD, executive-functioning difficulties, procrastination, and emotional overwhelm Anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, and chronic self-pressure PTSD, developmental trauma, and unresolved childhood experiences Relationship anxiety, attachment wounds, and fear of abandonment Emotional disconnection, burnout, and difficulty identifying personal needs Family expectations, cultural pressures, and people-pleasing Major life, career, or identity transitions I also work with couples who may care deeply for one another but feel caught in recurring cycles of conflict, defensiveness, withdrawal, resentment, or emotional distance. Couples therapy can help you understand the pattern underneath the argument, communicate more safely, and rebuild trust and emotional connection.

Hi There. My name is Mimi. I am a licensed Psychotherapist. I am here to help you grow, identify and resolve emotional and psychological obstacles that are preventing you from achieving the quality of life you deserve and desire. My integrative approach to therapy combines a variety of techniques to accommodate different individual needs to assist you in making choices that will help you achieve a fuller and happier life in a non judgmental, compassionate, warm, and safe environment where you will be heard and accepted. You may feel lost, empty, anxious, alone, with no place to turn to, but as we work together, I will lead you to explore those wounds and emotions that are creating the pain you feel. Clinging to old patterns and emotions is familiar and safe, but it does not serve us well. However, as we walk together, your life will begin to have the purpose you are seeking and deserve as you let go of old emotions and experiences. Taking the first step to self understanding can be intimidating and it takes courage to embark on a journey for change where you will be in control of your life and to all issues overwhelming you with anxious feelings and overwhelming thoughts. You are not alone, you can do it, and I will support you all the way as we work together!

Through this work, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the pressures they face and focus on helping them build resilience, restore balance, and strengthen their overall well-being. Hi! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Gallaudet University. I am fluent in American Sign Language. I would describe my own as warm, caring, non-judgmental, compassionate, sensitive, respectful, knowledgeable, experienced and committed. I’ve been using CBT in my practice. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life

As a black female school-based therapist, my dream client is one who approaches therapy with openness, honesty, and a willingness to engage in the process of self-discovery and growth. Ideally, my dream client is someone who is eager to explore their identity, including aspects of race, culture, and gender, in a safe and affirming space. They are open to discussing sensitive topics and are willing to challenge societal norms and expectations that may be impacting their well-being. My dream client is proactive in their approach to therapy, actively participating in sessions, completing assigned tasks or homework, and practicing coping skills outside of our sessions. They understand that therapy is a collaborative effort and are committed to working together to achieve their goals. Additionally, my dream client is respectful, compassionate, and empathetic towards others, fostering a sense of community and support within the therapeutic environment. They are open to learning from different perspectives and are willing to engage in discussions around social justice, equity, and inclusion. I found myself becoming a psychotherapist through nudges from friends and family pointing me toward a field they believed suited me well. I'm so grateful I listened and changed careers from education to psychology; 10 years later, I'm writing this with great satisfaction about my profession. The work of joining a person in articulating, understanding, and organizing their experience is a wonderful thing. This work makes sense to me; I both enjoy serving others and the psychic rewards of their growth and success. I've worked in various settings, including CBT, college counseling, and psychodynamic clinics, as well as addiction medicine, behavioral health primary care, and medical integration with Kaiser Permanente. All of these contexts have combined to bring my clinical style together in an integrative-relational approach to treatment.

Hi! I am an eclectic therapist. I tend to pull different methods from different theoretical modalities (e.g. Cognitive Behavioral, Client-Centered, Gestalt, Solution-Focused, and more) because I do not believe in a One Size Fits All for therapy. Different people work in different ways. I am flexible and like to learn more about each client before deciding on specific ways to work with them and follow their lead. I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the Bay Area, but never truly appreciated it until I left and came back. I attended high school in Marin at the Branson School in Ross. After High School I left for Wheaton College in Massachusetts where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I moved to Florida where I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Prior to earning my Masters in Psychology I spent a number of years working in child and adolescent residential treatment centers in both San Francisco and Orlando, Florida. It was at this time that I fell in love with working with adolescents, adults, and their families. After graduate school, I found myself working for, and soon thereafter managing, an inpatient treatment program for adolescents who had experienced severe trauma. I returned to California for good in 2011 where I started working as the Lead Therapist for the Adolescent Outpatient Program at Fremont Hospital. I opened a part time private practice in 2012 and transitioned to a full time practice in San Francisco in early 2013.

Thank you for stopping by. I know that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and I'm glad you're here. I'm Travis Buchanan, LMFT, LAADC, and I help individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and connection. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by stress, struggling in your relationships, facing addiction, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a place to slow down, gain perspective, and move forward. I've had the privilege of working with professionals, business owners, and others in demanding careers. Many are highly successful on the outside while privately carrying the weight of burnout, anxiety, loneliness, or relationship struggles. I understand the pressure of being the one others depend on. My approach is grounded in the belief that people aren't broken. Together, we'll explore the patterns and beliefs that have shaped your life—not to dwell on the past, but to better understand the present and create lasting change. I combine compassion with practical strategies that help you build resilience, strengthen relationships, and live more in line with your values. As both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I also have extensive experience helping people recover from substance use and behavioral addictions. I believe lasting recovery begins by understanding the purpose those behaviors once served and developing healthier ways to meet life's challenges. Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, direct, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and encouraged. If you're ready to take the next step—or simply curious whether therapy is right for you—I'd be honored to meet you.

My name is Judy Jordan and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 20 years years of professional experience in counseling with children,, adults, and families. I took an evening course in Psychology 5 when starting school, and by the end of it , I knew I wanted to become a therapist. I was drawn to understanding people on a deeper level and helping them through their struggles. With support from my dad, I left my job and went back to school starting from scratch. I loved every minute of learning and felt more certain with each class that I was on the right path. My dedication paid off...I earned straight A's and received the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology. More importantly I found a sense of purpose in supporting others on their mental health journeys.

I've spent the last 15 years working as a marriage and family therapist, helping clients create lasting, positive change. I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT), blending the two into an evidence-based approach shaped around each client's needs. My work centers on building emotional resilience, strengthening communication, and helping people forge deeper connections — with others and with themselves. I love walking alongside clients as they work toward their goals and build a life that feels genuinely fulfilling.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. Originally from Taiwan, I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals and communities, including children and families, adolescents, transitional-age youth, young adults, older adults, men, women, couples, LGBTQ+ individuals, and justice-involved populations. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. I understand that our cultural backgrounds, family experiences, and life circumstances can shape who we are and influence the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. My clinical experience has given me a broad understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life. I strive to create a respectful and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. In today's fast-paced world, many people find themselves overwhelmed by daily responsibilities and may be disconnected from what brings meaning and fulfillment to their lives. It is common to push aside difficult thoughts and emotions simply to get through the day. Over time, however, this can leave us feeling stuck, isolated, or uncertain about how to move forward. I want to assure you that it is okay to reach out and talk it out. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, experiencing relationship difficulties, seeking greater self-understanding, or simply looking for a safe space to process your experiences, therapy can provide an opportunity to gain insight and perspective. My approach is direct yet empathic, collaborative, and solution-focused, while remaining grounded in genuine compassion and practical feedback. Together, I can help you explore the challenges you are facing, identify patterns that may be holding you back, build upon your strengths, and work toward meaningful, positive, and lasting change.

I currently accept Aetna, Carelon, EAP: UAW/UMass Benefits, Sharp Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum in California for individual therapy, and Aetna in Texas for individual therapy. These plans are not currently accepted for ongoing couples/family therapy with me through this platform. If your insurance cannot be used for the ongoing service you need, additional options may be available. When applicable, I also provide services through Cyti-Psychological, where you can inquire about continuing care with me. Visit cytipsych.com for insurance and scheduling assistance. Whether you are seeking support individually, as a couple, or as a family, I look forward to helping you work toward your goals.
