New to Grow
Hi There! I'm Rachel. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where we can explore your experiences together with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. I recognize that every person is unique, and I tailor my approach to fit each client's individual needs. Whether you're navigating a difficult season of life, feeling stuck in old patterns, or simply wanting a deeper understanding of yourself, I strive to help you feel supported while working toward meaningful and lasting growth. Outside of the therapy room, I love getting lost in a good book, spending time outdoors with friends, and baking. These activities help me stay grounded and connected to the things that bring joy and balance into my life.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and understood as we explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. I view therapy as a collaborative experience rather than a teacher-student relationship. Throughout our time together, I will bring curiosity, compassion, and clinical knowledge while valuing your unique experiences, perspectives, and goals. Rather than rushing to find answers, our first session is a chance to slow down, explore your story, identify therapy goals, and get to know one another.
I balance warmth, compassion, and validation with honesty, directness, and gentle challenge. I strive to create an environment where clients feel understood and accepted while also being encouraged to deepen their self-awareness and move toward the life and relationships they want.
I support adults seeking relief from depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I work with individuals who may be feeling lost, overwhelmed, irritable, or disconnected from themselves or others. Whether clients are navigating a major life change or experiencing long-standing emotional challenges, I aim to help them better understand themselves and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, dissatisfied with their relationships, or questioning why life feels less meaningful or fulfilling than they had hoped. Together, we create space to explore their experiences, increase self-awareness, and foster meaningful change that aligns with their values and goals.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and understand how these patterns influence one another. Together, we explore new ways of responding to challenges that support emotional well-being and lasting change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients navigate intense emotions, improve relationships, and create meaningful change while also developing greater acceptance of themselves and their experiences.
Humanistic
I use a humanistic approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can deepen their understanding of themselves, explore their experiences authentically, and move toward personal growth.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use IFS to help clients explore the different parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion. This approach can help clients better understand internal conflicts, develop a stronger connection to themselves, and foster healing from past experiences.
Psychodynamic
I use a psychodynamic approach to help clients explore how past experiences and relationship patterns may continue to shape their present-day experiences. Through increased self-awareness and insight, clients can better understand themselves and make more intentional choices moving forward.
