Hello and welcome. I’m Yvette, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I am passionate in supporting adults who are navigating chronic illness, stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, and grief. My therapeutic approach focuses on creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where you can openly explore your emotions, experiences, and concerns without judgment. I strive to provide a sacred environment that nurtures healing for your mind, body, heart, and spirit. Together, we will build a trusting partnership to support your growth, embrace transformative change, and help you enhance your overall quality of life. My hope is to help you discover tools, practices, and resources that will empower you to live an authentic and fulfilling life. I’m here to guide you towards greater healing, self-love, joy, and inner peace. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from San Jose State University in 2016 and have experience working with individuals across various ages and diverse communities. I’ve had the honor of supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, and survivors of domestic violence and trauma. Over the past six years, my focus has been on helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of a cancer diagnosis. I offer services in English and Spanish. I look forward to connecting with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Booking the first session with a new therapist is a big step! My goal is to foster a warm, comfortable, and supportive environment as we begin to know each other. During our session, I will invite you to share your reasons for seeking therapy, as well as your intentions and goals, so we can collaboratively address your needs and path towards healing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am genuinely passionate in being able to support others in their healing journey. I take a heart centered approach, offering empathy, care, safety, and compassion.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I weave in a strength-based approach to assist my clients in integrating their strengths, skills, and resources to support with their personal growth and healing. This approach empowers my clients to leverage their internal and external strengths to foster resilience and drive meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach is an evidence-based practice that I use to address anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. This approach is delivered in a structured format to assist clients in examining the interconnectedness between their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors. I will facilitate discussion and exercises to help guide you in breaking previous patterns of thinking that are no longer serving you.

Grief Therapy

Grief and loss can manifest in many forms, including the death of a loved one/pet, loss of safety, financial security, identity, employment, housing, changes in physical health, community connections, etc. Individuals may experience a range of emotions through their grief, such as numbness, anger, sadness, guilt, emptiness, depression, and confusion. Grief is a universal experience, yet profoundly unique and personal to each individual. In this compassionate and supportive environment, we will gently explore your responses to grief and engage in healing practices designed to help you find comfort and resilience as you navigate the depths of your sorrow.
