Open-minded

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) offering a warm, person-centered, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approach. I graduated from Cal State Bakersfield with a MS in Counseling Psychology, and have practiced since. My experience includes working with individuals seeking support for anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and intimate partner violence. My style is compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental. I aim to create a safe space to explore root issues, ease shame, and help you feel more understood, grounded, and connected.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will spend time meeting each other, and checking in on what you hope to achieve from attending therapy. I will ask questions to understand you so that I can best serve you in your healing. We will then discuss how therapy works, so we can demystify the process and move forward with safety and intention.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe in holding space, compassion and respect for my clients' lived experiences. Emotional safety is essential. Aligning with my clients pace, so that they feel comfortable and supported in treatment, is priority for me. I am committed to ongoing learning, curiosity and humility in my clinical work. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they uncover their strengths and heal from painful experiences. My greatest hope is to help people feel less alone in their struggles and more capable of navigating their relationships with confidence and resilience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are open to exploration, self-reflection and growth. During session, I prioritize a curious, compassionate environment where we explore deeper self-understanding at a pace that feels comfortable and safe. I find that therapy is most effective with clients who are committed to this process and ready to understand their experiences on a deeper, more meaningful level.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I have both personal and professional experience with Attachment-based work. I believe healing starts at the inner child, and my focus with clients include identifying inner child attachment and building insight into how this attachment plays an active role in their worlds today. I spend time with my clients understanding their symptoms from an Attachment perspective, and helping them to rewire their bodies and minds to sense safety again in their worlds.

Trauma Informed Care

I recognize trauma is not linear. It is complex, it is generational. Sometimes it is suffering out loud, sometimes its in silence. Sometimes the most "put-together" person has past trauma at their heels, preventing them from living their lives in full authenticity. I approach all of my clients with this in mind, creating space for them to bring up, process and/or heal from their trauma when their bodies feel safe enough to do so.
