I'm Marcelle Turner , an LCSW, with over five years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families from a wide range of backgrounds. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients from many different walks of life—children and teens, adults navigating life transitions, families in crisis, and communities often underrepresented in mental health spaces. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I draw from modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and family systems to meet each client where they are. I believe deeply in the importance of cultural sensitivity and strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered. Therapy, to me, is a partnership. Whether we're addressing anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply making space for self-exploration, I’m here to support my clients in building insight, resilience, and the tools they need to thrive.
In our first session, my primary goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and not rushed. We’ll take time to get to know each other—you can share what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any concerns or questions you have about the process. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current stressors, and anything else that feels important to your story, but you’re always in control of what you choose to share.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a space where people feel seen, respected, and genuinely understood. I bring a calm, grounded presence to the therapy room, which helps clients feel safe enough to open up—even when they're navigating really vulnerable or painful experiences.
The clients I’m best positioned to serve are those who are ready to explore their inner world with honesty and courage—even if they’re not quite sure where to start. I work well with individuals navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, or seeking to improve their relationships. I’m especially attuned to clients who may feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional spaces—whether due to culture, identity, or past experiences with therapy.
I utilize theory-based concepts to provide clients with understanding that our life experiences can create our perspective of the world around us.
