Personal discovery and growth are one of life's greatest challenges but also provide one of life's greatest rewards. I have been a Marriage Family Therapist for the past 12 years. Empathy, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard are key to establishing that trust. I specialize in anxiety, depression, coping skills, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and women's issues, which are a few symptoms I specialize in. During my time as a therapist, I've worked with children, adolescents and adults. I believe that therapy is beneficial by targeting underlying concerns that are causing stressful situations and maladaptive behaviors. Through active listening, empathy, and non-judgmental standpoints, my objective is for positive change to occur.
Clients can expect during the first session, to be heard, understood and respected. My first session is about gathering information about the symptoms that my clients are presenting with. Clients can expect after working with me for a while, tools and techniques that my clients can utilize as a skill set to target symptoms and an improved quality of life.
I have over 12 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.
My biggest strengths with my clients are that my clients know that I am passionate about the work I do with them and they know that I care about them. My strengths are seeing clients make positive changes while being in therapy.
