Hi, I’m Ariel Black, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma-informed inner child work for high-functioning adults.
I help people who often appear competent and composed on the outside, but carry invisible emotional wounds from childhood — including experiences of parentification, emotional neglect, or growing up too fast.
My approach is psychodynamic, relational, and grounded in curiosity. Together, we’ll gently explore the emotional patterns that were once necessary for survival but now feel limiting, confusing, or exhausting. Many of my clients come to therapy wanting to understand why they still feel disconnected, overly responsible, or emotionally stuck — despite doing “all the right things.”
I offer a warm, depth-oriented space where we can work at your pace. Healing doesn’t mean blaming the past — it means making sense of it so you can move forward with more freedom, self-compassion, and clarity in your relationships.
I understand that it can be nerve wracking or anxiety provoking to start something new so if you would like to read more about my practice and clinical background, feel free to check out the link to my website below:

Hi, I'm Dr. Alysha! Are you ready to Empower your Mental Health?
By creating a safe place for processing and expression, I support persons on their unique healing journey to strengthen authenticity and resiliency. My overall approach uses psychodynamic talk therapy, offering space to those wanting to explore new perspectives, reframes, and change.

I don’t consider myself an advice giver, but instead, I will collaborate with you to recognize your choices and help you make the best one for yourself.

Hi, I'm Jason Markel, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 9 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, and struggles with self-worth.
Many of the people I work with have spent years taking care of others, second-guessing themselves, or trying to meet expectations that don't truly fit who they are. They often feel exhausted, disconnected, or stuck repeating patterns that no longer serve them. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, understand what's holding you back, and begin creating a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I believe lasting change happens when people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences without judgment. Together, we'll work to build self-trust, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships, and help you move toward the life you want rather than the life you feel obligated to live.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, identity questions, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and empowered in your daily life.

I am passionate about the work my clients do and fully believe in the ability of therapy. The life you want and the way you want to “be“ in it is possible!
Life can be complicated, and sometimes we find ourselves in places we never expected to be. Maybe you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated with patterns in your life or relationships. Maybe you have a pretty good idea of what's not working, but figuring out what to do differently is another story. Or maybe you're not quite sure what's going on, you just know something needs to change.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to have it all figured out before you start.
I offer online therapy for adults throughout California. We all need and deserve to feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted for who we are. Having a place where you can talk openly, sort through your thoughts and feelings, and explore parts of yourself you may not have had room for before can be incredibly powerful.
Finding the right therapist is personal. Sometimes you just get a feeling that someone is a good fit, and I encourage you to trust that. Whether that's with me or someone else, you deserve to find a connection where you feel comfortable being yourself.
I focus on understanding your history, its impact and how to help you make adjustments that ease your path forward. My expertise includes anxiety, depression, relationship and work/career concerns among others. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral, humanistic and psychodynamic approaches. Handouts and worksheets are often particularly helpful to clients. I truly care about the well-being of others and helping people navigate life’s challenges so that they feel better and can live a more fulfilling life. If I don't have an appointment available that works for you, feel free to reach out to me to ask if I may have any other times available soon.
I’m here to support you on your journey toward greater self-awareness and emotional well-being. In our individual sessions, we’ll explore how your past experiences shape your present feelings and behaviors, including any underlying self-doubt or anxiety. Together, we’ll examine the personal, relational, and cultural influences that have shaped your experiences, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your unique story.
Using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing, we’ll address the feelings associated with anxiety and self-doubt. I believe that healing involves both understanding our experiences and reconnecting with the wisdom of the body. Through exploring the stories you hold about yourself, increasing awareness of physical and emotional responses, and developing practical tools for coping, we can create new pathways toward growth and resilience. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can express yourself freely, explore new perspectives, reconnect with your values, celebrate your strengths, and begin to feel more grounded, connected, and open to life’s possibilities.

I know that healing isn't always linear, and I believe growth can happen through both the difficult moments and the lighter ones. While we may explore deep emotions, I also welcome laughter, curiosity, and celebrating the small wins along the way. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and a little more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
