I’m Arturo, and I’m honored you’re here. My work as a therapist is grounded in resilience, compassion, and deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for support. After 24 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, including combat deployments, I transitioned into clinical work, earning a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (MFT) from Pepperdine University. For the past four years, I’ve worked with underrepresented communities, supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and major life transitions. I’m especially committed to creating a safe, confidential space where men can speak openly—man to man—about the challenges we often carry silently. I also work with couples using Gottman‑informed approaches to improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. Whether you’re seeking clarity, emotional relief, or stronger relationships, I offer practical tools, steady support, and a collaborative path toward healing and meaningful change.

Couples: I am TAKING Couples again. However only on Cash Pay basis. This is how it will work: You can schedule with me an hour consultation, you don't both have to be present, for this Consultation. From there we will meet 5 to 6 times for 1.5 hour sessions. It is very difficult to have Couples sessions within 60 min. The Cash pay is $250.00 for the 1.5 hour sessions. I understand the cost can be a deterrent in seeking help, however if you are both committed to doing the work 5 to 6 sessions should be productive and enough to see changes. Individuals: Of course I am still taking individuals that are or are not in a relationship and need help. We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers. I am here to help with coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others. For Clients that are insured by Kaiser: I will be confirming your appointment 48 hours before the appointment by email, please email me back with a confirmation. If you do not respond to my email I will cancel the appointment. Also, if you cancel a set appt less than 24 hours I will need to refer you to another therapist. I am sorry to have to do this, however I have had an excessive amount of no shows. Thank you for understanding.

Hi, I’m Ariel Black, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma-informed inner child work for high-functioning adults. I help people who often appear competent and composed on the outside, but carry invisible emotional wounds from childhood — including experiences of parentification, emotional neglect, or growing up too fast. My approach is psychodynamic, relational, and grounded in curiosity. Together, we’ll gently explore the emotional patterns that were once necessary for survival but now feel limiting, confusing, or exhausting. Many of my clients come to therapy wanting to understand why they still feel disconnected, overly responsible, or emotionally stuck — despite doing “all the right things.” I offer a warm, depth-oriented space where we can work at your pace. Healing doesn’t mean blaming the past — it means making sense of it so you can move forward with more freedom, self-compassion, and clarity in your relationships. I understand that it can be nerve wracking or anxiety provoking to start something new so if you would like to read more about my practice and clinical background, feel free to check out the link to my website below: http://www.arielblackpsychotherapy.com/

Few, if any, of us grow up in an environment that perfectly fits our needs. As we grow, we adapt to our surroundings in ways that may run counter to our vitality, health, and happiness. By exploring and understanding the underlying emotional and psychological patterns that shape our lives, we are able to develop choice in whether to engage in patterns and habits that no longer serve us. As a psychotherapist, I provide a curious, and compassionate presence, lending my heart and mind to this process of self-exploration and self-understanding.

I am the author of Upward Spiral to Sobriety: Creating New Neural Habits through the Power of I AM Statements, a conceptual framework designed to help you break free and rewrite your story. (You can learn more about my book at www.betterlifewithshauna.com.) If you are feeling weighed down by a relentless inner critic, unhealthy coping mechanisms which lead to addictive choices, you are not alone. If you are ready to quiet the noise, redefine who you are on your own terms, and build a brand-new identity or blueprint, you are exactly where you need to be. My career has been built on helping people navigate deep-seated trauma. I spent years working extensively with foster youth, which gave me a profound understanding of childhood trauma. Today, alongside my private practice, I work on a frontline crisis line triaging severe emotional distress and suicidal ideation. This intense work has made me highly adept at sitting with people in their darkest, and heaviest moments. I excel at helping individuals interrupt overwhelming, negative thought loops and gently guiding them back to a place where they can remember they are safe, loved, worthy, and valued. I am also a proud military veteran and have worked as a therapist in an inpatient drug rehabilitation center for veterans—this role was instrumental and foundational to writing my book the Upward Spiral to Sobriety. In our sessions, we will work together to uncover the old narratives holding you back and consciously rewrite them into empowering beliefs and truth statements. I am a firm believer that "we are what we think." Using practical, evidence-based tools (CBT, DBT & Narrative therapy), we will reshape your thought patterns. Together, we will set reachable, realistic goals to help you find relief, clarity, and a much happier path forward.

Kelli is a trauma informed yoga teacher, writer, Land protector, Kundalini and Vishoka meditation practitioner, and mother of 4. Trained by Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur in the Compassionate Inquiry process, Kelli's intention as a psychotherapist is to bring awareness to all facets of ourselves. When we witness these parts with compassion, we become whole, liberated, and restored to our True Nature. As we become more present and connected with ourselves, there is safety and space for authentic expression through our body, psyche, life, and community. Kelli specializes in Complex Trauma; "a psychic wound that hardens you psychologically and then interferes with your ability to grow and develop. It pains you and now you're acting out of pain. It induces fear and now you're acting out of fear. Trauma is not what happens to you, it's what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you." This is often revealed through symptoms of depression, anxiety, and addiction. Our emotions are not tangential to our health. They are a signaling intelligence that can alert us to all sorts of phenomenon in our experience.

Hello there, my name is Jackie. I’d like to start by saying it brings me great joy that you are here making time for yourself! Allow me to ask, what brought you here today? Is it fears…traumas… distractions… hardships…loss… endless worries… striving for something meaningful? If you’re finding it hard to answer, “where do I go from here?,” then arriving at this thought is exactly where you need to be to make the decision to create your own path . If you are someone who has the courage to understand the impact of childhood experiences and the longstanding impact it has had on your present day self then I am the therapist for you. I invite discussions of traumas ranging from sexual abuse, neglect, parentification to name some and how these form shadows of fear that then differing parts of psyche learn how to adapt to. Let's bring these to light together in a way that shapes the ability to care for these unmet needs in order to show up better for yourself, your partner (in couple's counseling) and for your family (parenting). As you reach this crossroads I offer you tools to support you in bringing to light the barriers that prevent you from uncovering your full potential. I invite you to show up for yourself as you journey through the mountains and valley’s that are the wonders of your life.

With support and guidance, you can begin to process your pain, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover joy and meaning in your life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many individuals navigate the complex emotions of grief. And I truly believe that no matter where you are right now, there is hope for a brighter future.

Life can be complicated, and sometimes we find ourselves in places we never expected to be. Maybe you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated with patterns in your life or relationships. Maybe you have a pretty good idea of what's not working, but figuring out what to do differently is another story. Or maybe you're not quite sure what's going on, you just know something needs to change. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to have it all figured out before you start. I offer online therapy for adults throughout California. We all need and deserve to feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted for who we are. Having a place where you can talk openly, sort through your thoughts and feelings, and explore parts of yourself you may not have had room for before can be incredibly powerful. Finding the right therapist is personal. Sometimes you just get a feeling that someone is a good fit, and I encourage you to trust that. Whether that's with me or someone else, you deserve to find a connection where you feel comfortable being yourself.

If psychosis, mood swings, or a diagnosis no one else wants to sit with has made it hard to find a therapist who stays, I do. Hey, I'm Alexandria. My work is rooted in one belief: symptoms make sense in context. Newly out of graduate school, I went straight to the work I wanted most. I was hired as the Intake Coordinator of a 24/7 residential program for adults living with psychosis, mood disorders, and the diagnoses society fears most. Five months later, I was promoted to Assistant Program Director. My work there laid the foundation for how I practice now, and for where my private practice started. People are never just their diagnosis. Symptoms are not character flaws, and, "what's wrong with me?" is always the wrong question. The real questions are: "what are you struggling with?" and "how is it affecting you?" In my practice, I work with teens and adults navigating complex mental health. This includes first-episode psychosis, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar disorders, as well as personality disorders. Sessions are held via telehealth across California and Washington when virtual therapy is clinically appropriate. What therapy with me can look like: a session that feels like casual talk, or a weekly vent, can actually be CBT, DBT, and solution-focused work in one, with questions that are not the obvious textbook ones, slipped in to help you think and question. Sessions are $185, self-pay, via telehealth in California and Washington when virtual therapy is clinically appropriate. I'm honest, and I've been told I'm funny. I'm a slightly blunt millennial who's seen it up close, and I'm rooted in research. But you're the expert in your story, and only you know what you've gone through.

I help Latinx/Chicanx adolescents and adults navigate intergenerational traumas, cultural distress, and family dynamics to restore personal freedom and reconnect with their authentic true selves. First generation born US or adult children of immigrant families may have been passed down generational trauma that is impacting your day to day life more than you may recognize. People who were the eldest sibling, emotional caretaker of their parents and/or siblings experience challenges with resting or taking things easier in life because of their need to constantly be on the go for others. I specialize in working with people who experience high functioning anxiety, sadness, irritability, dysfunctional relationships, avoidance of emotions, autopilot functioning, senseless purpose, hyperindependance, guilt, shame, overthinking, or a sense of unhappiness. Hello! I’m Gloria, a Filipina licensed clinical psychologist originally from Guam, now based in the Bay Area, CA. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, addiction, and multicultural concerns, areas that continue to guide my work today. My clinical experience includes working in a variety of settings, where I’ve supported clients through identity exploration, emotional challenges, and major life transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, and tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. Before becoming a psychologist, I spent eight years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a memory care unit, supporting individuals with dementia and their families. That experience shaped my understanding of caregiver stress and inspired my doctoral dissertation, which focused on the emotional impact of caregiving. It also deepened my belief that self-care and balance aren’t luxuries, they’re essential to our well-being. At the core of my work is the belief that therapy should be a safe, inclusive, and empowering space, one where your full self is welcomed and affirmed. I bring a deep commitment to cultural sensitivity, authenticity, and compassion, drawing from both my professional training and lived experience. Therapy with me is not just about managing challenges, it’s about growth, healing, and creating a life that feels true to you. I look forward to walking alongside you on that journey.

In my experiences in working with children and their families in various capacities for close to 30 years has given me a heart for caring. I have been a foster parent, preschool teacher and director, a child development instructor at a communnity college for over 20 years and a clinical supervisor to numerous trainees and interns who became wonderful clinicians. I am also the mother to 4 grown children (one with ADHD) and the grandparent to 13. My focus has been helping those with trauma by listening to their stories and helping them make sense of their views of self. Through the use of EMDR, healing can happen quickly and it is so rewarding to watch as my clients receive the healing they deserve. I love to support parents in their journey and give them the confidence they need to be the best they can be. I've worked with countless children and adolescents in a county clinic for over 20 years and have learned how to help them navigate life's challenges. All this, along with my Christian beliefs, have inspired me and given me wisdom and compassion to do the work I love.

As an LMFT, I can be a neutral ear to listen with compassion and help you discover your solutions! ** Please note that AI note taking is an integral part of my practice. This is a tool that not only helps me be present in session, it gives you a summary of what was discussed and I make certain to remove any proper nouns, if needed, before the note is saved. If you do not prefer AI note taking during sessions, please consider services with any of the other, wonderful Grow Therapy providers **

I’m Melba — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Rising Tide Family Therapy. I’m especially drawn to working with people navigating the tension between who they’ve been expected to be and who they’re becoming—particularly those who are used to considering everyone else’s needs, have a hard time disappointing people, or are the first in their family to do something different.. I come to therapy from a different career, which gives me a practical lens alongside my clinical one. You might come to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what you want. You might be struggling with communication, boundaries, executive functioning, or simply feeling like you’re carrying more than your share. I help people who feel stuck in patterns of overextension — often the ones who've kept pushing until their body or job forced a stop. I take a strengths-based, compassion-focused approach to burnout and stress, helping clients find their footing and build something more sustainable going forward. We’ll look at both what’s happening internally and the systems around you, with an emphasis on identifying where you actually have room to make a difference. And therapy with me doesn’t have to be solemn all the time. I love a good TV or movie reference, a healthy dose of absurdity, and a laugh when the moment calls for it. My roots are in Kerala, India, and I was raised in San Jose, California, within an Orthodox Christian tradition. Today, I’d describe myself as spiritually agnostic. Given my own background, I’m particularly attuned to the weight that can come with collectivist cultures—the obligation, silence, and guilt that can arise when you’re the person who wants something different. I believe that tending to your own wellbeing isn’t selfish; individual wellbeing is part of collective wellbeing.

Hi, I'm Jason Markel, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 9 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, and struggles with self-worth. Many of the people I work with have spent years taking care of others, second-guessing themselves, or trying to meet expectations that don't truly fit who they are. They often feel exhausted, disconnected, or stuck repeating patterns that no longer serve them. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, understand what's holding you back, and begin creating a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I believe lasting change happens when people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences without judgment. Together, we'll work to build self-trust, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships, and help you move toward the life you want rather than the life you feel obligated to live. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, identity questions, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and empowered in your daily life.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a PhD and almost 20 years of clinical experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, burnout, and addictive patterns. My approach is integrative, relational, and strengths-based, but what distinguishes my work is the combination of deep exploration with practical change. I help clients understand not only what they are feeling, but why certain patterns keep repeating across relationships, work, family, and major life decisions, and what can be done differently. I work especially well with adults who may already have insight into their struggles but still feel caught in overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional disconnection, or difficult relationship patterns. Therapy with me is collaborative and active: we may explore family-of-origin dynamics, attachment, identity, trauma, and longstanding beliefs while also building concrete tools for emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, and decision-making. The goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you develop greater self-trust, flexibility, and the ability to live and relate in ways that feel more authentic and intentional.

As a Black, queer practitioner, my practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens when you can bring your entire, authentic self into the room. That is why I offer an unapologetic, trauma-informed space where your lived experiences as a QTBIPOC individual are not just understood, but honored. Together, we will work through life’s complexities without you ever needing to explain your basic identity. Whether you are looking to process minority stress, heal from trauma, or navigate relationships, I am here to walk alongside you. You do not have to do this work alone. Let's build a space where you can feel deeply seen, safe, and supported.

I am a licensed therapist who believes that meaningful change begins when we slow down and meet ourselves with curiosity instead of judgment. My path to this work wasn’t linear; I spent fifteen years in a different career before making my own midlife transition to mental health a decade ago. That experience taught me firsthand the courage it takes to reinvent yourself. My clinical foundation was forged in community mental health and crisis work, where I had the privilege of working with a beautifully diverse cross-section of people—including LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent folks, elders and other marginalized communities. This rich background has shaped me into a practitioner who values inclusivity, honors identity, and meets every client exactly where they are in their healing journey. See my website Returning Presence for more info about my approach and background.

An experienced medical social worker, my niche is helping those recovering from chronic physical and emotional pain, mystery symptoms, illness and disease processes (including infertility, maternal loss, peri/menopause, terminal illness, limb loss, and caregiver role stress). My clients often have chronic pain, fatigue, migraines, fibromyalgia, back/neck/hip and other joint pains, pelvic floor pain, EDS, POTS, dysautonomia, CRPS, IBS, PMDD, and other chronic conditions. I especially love supporting those coping with feelings of low self worth, depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, and grief. I am importantly trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and EAET -- the most current research backed methods for recovering from chronic pain that I especially love to share. Because they work! I am also trained in EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, and energy psychologies like EFT (aka “tapping”). I study Internal Family Systems Therapy, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and dream tending.  My authentic approach is also intimately informed by the wisdom traditions that have healed my own life. The mother of a child with a life threatening seizure disorder, I am not unfamiliar with suffering. I often turn to my spiritual faith, Jungian Psychology, nature, and the Wise Woman Herbalism Tradition. I am a life-long meditation, yoga, and reiki practitioner, and always a student of Buddhist Psychology. I find healing in stillness, puppies, humor, art, poetry, and the sacred. I love stories.
