New clients continue care with this provider
In my experiences in working with children and their families in various capacities for close to 30 years has given me a heart for caring. I have been a foster parent, preschool teacher and director, a child development instructor at a communnity college for over 20 years and a clinical supervisor to numerous trainees and interns who became wonderful clinicians. I am also the mother to 4 grown children (one with ADHD) and the grandparent to 13. My focus has been helping those with trauma by listening to their stories and helping them make sense of their views of self. Through the use of EMDR, healing can happen quickly and it is so rewarding to watch as my clients receive the healing they deserve. I love to support parents in their journey and give them the confidence they need to be the best they can be. I've worked with countless children and adolescents in a county clinic for over 20 years and have learned how to help them navigate life's challenges. All this, along with my Christian beliefs, have inspired me and given me wisdom and compassion to do the work I love.
I'll take the time to hear your stories, allow you to feel validated rather than embarrased or criticized and discovering together what you want to gain from our time together.
